Just wondering if this happens to anyone else besides me? I will TP archo to Raging Tides city to pick up my keys and exchange the talismans and my client would just disappear into thin air. It used to happen a lot, but the last couple of months it seemed fine, but for the past few days it happens to me every single time. Which worries me a bit because of nirvana squads, you get some squads that don't attempt to invite you back. Are the GMS/Mods/Devs aware of this problem? b:surrender

Yea, same thing to me, seems whenever I click to walk from West Arch TP to let's say the West Arch banker, my client magically dissolves. Lowering my graphics settings helped a bit, but I would like to play on full graphics QQ, now it's med/high.0

this glitch happens not in RT only, it happens everywhere no mather what you do.. client just closes
with me, while im running forward usually, dont bother, it an implemented joke from the same guy which made the rubberbanding, all the other pwe staff are complete morons so they will never find out what couse thisSome Rules each PWI Gamer should know
1. Dont break this rules & no matter what: DONT TRUST ANYONE!
2. Dont pay wine or heads fee (like to get kicked after that?) b:chuckle
3. Dont borrow items (since when return gms scammed stuff?) b:embarrass
4. Dont use your password in faction-forums (like hacks?) b:fatb
5. Dont give your mats to the tt-banker (obvious, not?) b:beg
6. Dont wait for help, or heals, or any other miracles,... (for more examples just play pwi and you will hate the whole humanity) b:bye0 -
Same issue here. It happens in South Arch too, near the banker. I simply walk a few steps through highly congested areas and the client crashes. Or teleport to RT and boom, its gone. Same with West Arch as well.
My laptop is 2 years old, and still can compete with some others out there. It was designed for gaming, and it can handle any graphically intense game out there.
I really wish that PWE would stop blaming it on us and realize that its their fault.b:nosebleed ಥ_ಥ PWI Follower since Jan '08 ಥ_ಥ b:nosebleed

Hmm this only happens with me going to RT, I have used 2 different teleporteres in archo though. I can't see how it is my pc, as I don't have any other problems, I never have lag anymore (recently upgraded with 2 Gb more memory)."Care Bear" b:chuckle

I guess it should handle PWi on max graphics easily? b:surrender0 -

Hell yeah it should, it can't be the pc...must be a code or something...they must look into it...as for the rubberbanding thing mentioned earlier...I'm used to it already lol (still, hard to think they never managed to fix that...b:shutup)"Care Bear" b:chuckle

Rubberbanding was greatly reduced, but will never totally be gone. Rarely do you ever rubberband while running of an NPC's head anymore, which was a cause for much consternation amongst the player-base.
The rubberbanding you see is caused by a code used to prevent speedhacks. The server tests your location a second ago against the present location, and if it doesn't match what the speed should be, it will bring you back to where it believes you should be.0 -

Sorry, not a clue. Could have something to do with the recent lag spikes...0 -

I imagine it is something to do with graphics, either some file is corrupt, something is missing, or some particular object just doesn't work well with your video card / drivers.
I've found playing the game in minimal graphics solves a lot of random crashing.0 -
I blame KrittyCat. Just monitoring us and when he finds the urge, he presses a big red "X" button to close all our clientsb:laugh0

I've had ongoing tickets with PW on this issue for over a year. They continue to blame my hardware/software/drivers simply because they claim that they can't replicate it. They also claim that they haven't seen other people complain about it.
I have 7 different computers systems. Each one has different hardware, and a couple of different OS'es. All of them suffer from the exact same problem. I really doubt it's my hardware/software causing the problem, and I've done a lot of testing.
Flood them with tickets, and don't take, "well maybe it's your drivers" for an answer.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
This has been going on for a while. For some even back to when they added the TB.
People have been complaining.

Two links I know of right off the top of my about the same issue.0 -
Not sure if related, but it might have to do with the graphical difference between classic area and the new one, TB and EG had been know to be more taxing on the system. Even if your computer can handle it just fine, the client might not, who know?0

The only time I dc'd was going from south arch TP to 1k. Other than that, I have yet to dc/randomly close in congested areas, and my pc is ancient... like, horrible compared to some of the posters'. It's 6 years old and never been upgraded. .___.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
