Wrong Patch Server...

b:angry Whenever i start the game it says wrong patch server failed to update,

My updateserver.txt says;


"Patch_1" "http://pwipatch.perfectworld.com/patch/"

Please tell me if this is correct b:thanks

    If you installed the US- EN client, then you will want to select Patch 1 or Patch 2.

    If you installed the EU FR or DE client, then you will want to choose EU Patch 1 or EU Patch 2.

    I do not recommend using the US client on the EU servers and vice versa because you can wind up getting things confused and some things for chat won't be in the language you expected. You CAN use either client to log into any of the servers, but it is suggested that you stick the the language that you want to play in.

    Please see if any of the information below might help you...

    Add the game folder and/or game files (all .exe and .dll file types) to the exceptions list in your firewall or antivirus software.

    Example: C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International

    You also might need to temporarily disable your antivirus, MS Security Essentials or Windows Firewall long enough to download, install, patch and login to get into the game, and then turn it back on. Sometimes disabling may not help and you will need to add an exception for the game folder.

    It might be Windows, Windows Firewall, Admin (such as running the game as Administrator), UAC, network, or antivirus settings that you will need to change so that they aren't blocking or throttling the game.

    You can also try changing your proxy settings for Internet Explorer 8, to have them turned off here: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and then untick all of the proxy settings.

    is there anyone can help me about problem in patching? i pacth my PWI and when it was in half way in the chinese letters, it getting stop! i used WIN 7 so it didnt need the chinese pack ryt?b:surrender

    I got problems with the launcher. I already update the game to PW Genesis, but in the down bar says "Wrong Patch Server". When I push the red buton to log up in the game and start to play, nothings happend, pass around of 8 seconds and then the lancher closes.

    how can I resolve this problem? Please, send some help, I want to start to play.

    theres a manual patch server on site by download below it ok,as for login problem think its a usere account setting ok if your not on administrator account it will not let you login because any account besides administrator account has access settings for comp ok a guest account has limited access etc ok and will let it logon but when you choose a char and try to load it will not load on guest or limited account k.Same with a dsl or wireless modems firewall which is separate from windows firewall or anti viri firewall if dsl modem or wireless modem is set to medium or above you cannot connect to servers ok if set below medium it lets you ok, check those and should be ok then.And each week perfect world updates to to check server status go to perfect world page check servers if they online then its something on your comp settings ok,if they offline server is updating.
