I'll have to see this myself to believe it. Its not simply aps itself that makes dagger & fist weapons so darn powerful. Its the ability to "permaspark" that makes aps OP. And since this new "wraith attack levels" gear doesn't have interval adds... can't see how its going to compete with what we have now.0 -

IIRC, the ability to gain chi while sparked was taken out.
I don't know if this was test server only or if it stayed that way, I remember there was a thread on this sometime back.
If that's the case for pwcn, then it wouldn't be hard to imagine something stronger than 5 aps.

I am guessing that the new mobs will have a ton of attk lvl/def lvl. If it's enough, then it will cancel out the jones blessing, and APS really can't get many more attack levels without sharding glass cannon.
Combined with mystic's 20% extra skill damage buff to mobs, this will make R9 DD's and those outfitted in new gears a lot more viable.
I still think aps chars will do comparable dps now. At the very least the damage will be a lot more balanced. I doubt aps will die though.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't see how they can say 5.0 is obsolete. Everyone I saw only had the crappy G12 armor / weapon. The base stats on those are so low and none of it has any interval... this wraith hunting stuff would have to be an enormous boost to just equal R8, let alone R9.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

LOL... I would say a good 70% or more of 5 aps Sins have their gear sharded with DOTs. And that's not even counting the extra 30 attack levels R9 dagger Sins get.0 -

Going by what you're saying above, it's not just aps gear that will be nerfed then. It's basically ALL current gear (R8, R9, Nirvana) for both caster and melee that will be nerfed for the new instances since none of them currently have the specialized "wraith attack/defense levels".
Also and if true, this new event is basically nothing more than a BLATANT money grab by PWCN since there are obviously profits to be made in orb sales to players who are forced get this new wraith hunting gear to run the new instances. After all, no one will want to run around with zero refines forever.0 -

you will get a full set of g12 new gears for free(including weapon) after finishing the main quests in the new map, which takes about 5-7 hours.
The weapon is not that bad if u dont pvp, even with the free g12 dagger(+45 W attack lvl)
even tho it drops your aps down to 4.0, but with 45%-60% dmg boost, a 4.0 sin with new daggers can pretty much out DD a sin with 1st cast nv dagger...
the new instance isnt that hard to complete, u can only do once a day. After killing all bosses, u will get a chest, in which u can randomly get weapon ticket, armour ticket, P stone, fruit, etc. no mats needed, no costb:sweat[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I know this has nothing to do with all the other complaints about skills but, barbs are getting 2 new agro skills, a crazy powerful frontal aoe and a skill that makes it so you cant change targets for 6 seconds, but what i want to know does really only work on other players and if so are people in china complaining about it cause that skill should really work for pve if these new instances are going to be a tough as you guys say they barbs will need an agro of that power, that i just want barbs to once again be the undisputed tank of the this game again im a squishy psy and i like to know when i hide behind a barb im safe, safe behind the the power of fuzzinessb:dirtyFederation of United Casters Keeping Others From Failing And

Lol at you lot. Do you care about OP gear so much? Where is the old players that just loved playing the game? Where has that lot gone? Now you're all these whiney needy children. I for one will love this new dungeon, and gear and if people don't want you should encourage them, after all the game is to be enjoyed, having fun. If you tell me you stop enjoying the game. It seems that the new area is huge, and you will have to do public quest to get rep, which as far as I understand is required for new skills/gears. Even if they are not so good skills (Cleric) or totally OP (wizard one) we all want new skills that's something I give as a fact.
So yea 5.0 era is not going to end, they are just making it fair for other classes, so a bunch of 5 apsers wont own the place, as it happens with some of the current instances. Also the party limit is raised to 10 in the new area and expect though mob to be there b:pleased totally awesome.
And I totally aprove having to quest for gear, it makes me want to quest again, when I started playing this, this game was all about quests, metting ppl while questing, and chatting while questing, working together to get quest done, I totally miss those times b:surrender0 -

Is there a chance that a GM could maybe ask the devs if they can decrease the blademaster skill Dragon bane to reduce their cooldown to 1minute, or atleast increase the duration so we can have a nice self buff skill and not just sins, cause sins crit rate is insane with their buff.0

Cedro I agree with you about this! When I joined PW in 2009 I had ALOT of fun meeting new people, questing, just chatting together to get the job done! Now all of my ingame friends from that time have left.
I too, thought about leaving, but once I heard of this new area where you HAVE to quest to get the new gears, I thought to myself I will wait and see. The new skills from what I can see in the forums are fantastic, even the Mystic ones. I'll have to see more to decide what one of the three paths would be best for me to choose from: Light, Dark, Shadow I think they are.
As for earning rep from quests, I hope it is ALOT more than the other quests available to a lvl 100 Mystic! Just doing Frost is getting boring for me! So I'll hang around and wait for the new expansion.

The developers made a poor excuse not to fix the current character / genie skills and of course equipment, yet add new and laughable skills (well most, not all). Look up the current skills we have, we know the skills need to be fixed, and certain effects need changing. Like swimming mastery. New update doesn't look like anything revolutionary to me. Just looks like PW trying to patch over the now 5 year old game by trying to update the existing classes. I put a certain post on another forum about 'the future' of PW in its various forms and how they could only update the gear or the skills and how level 105 is the peak of everything due to programming even though they could go to 150. Level 150 is the sort of N/A label used in bosses to describe how the game doesn't treat the boss specifically via level.
Same old PW and I've been at this bull for 5 years now and its just the same old, same old. Although I will admit PWI is doing it slightly better than certain other 3rd party retailers of PW (as a series).
It just doesn't look like anything revolutionary considering at the moment I am currently waiting for -removed- and beta testing the **** out of -removed- which didn't cost me 1000 USD. It really only cost me about 30 USD and comes with enhanced access out of the box. Let alone something like 4000 USD over the course of a year. Value for money? Pfftbah.

PW as a game isn't Free to Pay it is only 'free' when you walk in the door, pay the cover charge, pay to get in, then pay the bartender for whatever drink you want, get drunk and only realize the prices keep going up over the night the drunker you get, which of course, you don't notice.
No thanks. I don't do that. I do; When I get to the party the beer is free and everyone is having a good time. That is my definition of F2P. Not using your customers as collateral and milking the cow for all its' worth.

I seriously do not know what you are talking about, PWI is not F2P ?how do u get to that conclusion? When I was starting on European servers, I had like 37 mil after 1 week, not spending 1 $ on the game.
