So... Let's talk mounts. *Unamused.*

Mmmmkay. So, over the years, I've obviously seen just about every mount in the game, talking land mounts here. They've been cool (Serpent mounts), cute (Glowy Horsie), annoying (Chrono Bike before they shut them the **** up), and for the most part, well designed.

But now... There's two particular mounts that just ANNOY me. When someone is idling on a mount, and not moving, just about every mount does SOMETHING to look like it's something other than a statue. Mah Bear looks around and yawns, Purple glowy horsie moves it's head and pokes the ground with a hoof, fishy mount... Floats. But the new Chocobo mount is completely static when it's idle. It doesn't move AT ALL. The new Elk thing that's dyeable is static for 9/10 seconds when it's idle, too. b:sweat

I wouldn't be caught dead on either. They would drive me crazy to have. Even just swaying slightly is better than just completely solid as a statue. The Devs were too arsed to do it though, so you have a chocobo that farts rainbows and an Elk thing with lazerbeam antlers that are statues when idle. >_>

My question is, does this bother anyone else?

    The rainbow chicken does move, it hops in place. I know this for a fact as my seeker has it..... I don't know what is wrong with your chocobo

    Well, the chronobike doesn't because what do you want it do? Eat grass? Roam the wildlife. Make babies with that trampy pink bike next door? But yeah, the if the rest of em don't have one that would bother me a bit as well.

    There was a bug where the tiger mount would freeze in place when not moving.

    xD Lol, I know what you mean about the likeness of a statue for some mounts, but be rest assured o.o at least with Aurora, that it doesn't stand still like that when -you- are using it, tho, everyone else will appear to be. It hops around and stuff.

    I wish the Chronobike actually had an audible sound when just sitting there idling. The only thing you see is little puffs coming out the exhaust. (I do like how they made the engine a V-4, but for some reason, they gave it a sound closer to that of a V-twin)

    The unicorn is static when idle as well, to add to the list.

    But yeah, the rainbow chocobo does hop.

    lol Watched someone with one idling for like 5 minutes and it just sat there like a statue the entire time. XD

    Chrono bikes kinda... Vibrate. At least they look like it to me o.o

    I dunno, I'm having problems with files corrupting on my system so maybe there's an animation file corrupted for the Chocobo mount? I'm pretty sure it's not the client doing it as I have two clients and they are both corrupting different visual files randomly. >_>

    Its a bug on your screen.
    On my screen my demon tiger is always wiggling around. On other people's screens, he will be static until he roars and ywans/stretches, then static again.

    Yet to me, other people's tigers look static, until they roar/stretch/yawn, then static again.

    Was updating my shop the other day, one was sitting next to it doing the statue act. Then the owner finally moved a little and the rainbow turkey went on a hopping spree since then. Seem to me it's simply a display issue and the animation file just trigger for others if you move.

    I think she means how it appears to other players, Sure on your seeker it will appear like it is moving when you are idle, However to the rest of the players it is completely still.

    Lobsters are neat. But... I don't really miss mine that much. It didn't match any of my fashion...

    I love mounts. Im collecting them all, rarely use em as i teleport everywhere via illusion stone, but still cool.

    Wish i could have them all hatched. pain in the *** to see pet npc all the time. wish that was fixed!!!

    Best part about collecting mounts is I rarely spend more then 3mil each, as i find them in cat shops by people that dont want them or cant sell em. Thanks! b:victory

    Chronobike is my favorite actually, im trying to get as many as possible. Start a MC and hand em out. ;) ok thats lame, but whatever!

    if youre the one on the tiger on your screen it keeps looking around, but if you are looking at someone else on a tiger mount when you first get there it will look around but after that it doesnt move


    as far as im concerned the horses are still the best mounts in game. always have been and always will be. they arent too big and arent too small just the perfect size for just about anything. having huge frigging mounts that block out npcs is just another form of ***** envy :p

    Bah, you're among the people that took my chronobike's idling sound away! I want it back! Generally when I'm idling on a mount, I've walked away from the computer or I'm in another window, why would I want them to do something?

    lol you sound like me... I started a MC in the RT server called HADES MC. Someday, fifty riders will roll into town on our Chronobikes... all in the same faction. We'll be the Exiles of the gaming world!!!
