Characters missing

i took a short break from the game and logged back on recently and my character on sanctuary server is missing...
noone else has access to my account so i dont know how my character is gone...

    are you sure that the server selected in your client is sanctuary?
    cos if it wasnt, no characters will show, unless you have toons on other servers.

    1 of my cousins went on an almost 2 year Hiatis from the game, b4 he came back to play, he even got a new comp to put it on.. When he started back up, he couldn't find his characters either, until I got him to check on all the servers, he eventually found that he had started back up on the game on the wrong server, and that all his characters were on another 1 entirely....

    is it possible that, that might be whats going on for you??
