noob question

I admit,although i have some lil experience(a couple of months),i still dont get catshop when offline.
If i make a catshop,and go offline,can ppl still buy? Ithink yes,but cant say 4 sureb:surrender

If i turn off the game,does catshop dissapear? Or you may turn of computer and still works?

i heard its impossible to catshop in archosaur? West side that is.

    You can put up a catshop and afk while leaving the game running.

    But you cannot put up a catshop then log off game/turn off computer. You'll just be completely offline, catshop or not.

    Reason why people say it's probably impossible to catshop in West Archosaur is because of the gigantic lag or w/e but you can put on Best Performance and afk.

    **An alternative is to use the Auction House. You can put things up for sale there and go offline and when someone buys it, your profits will go to your mailbox. The thing with this though, is that it will take a small percentage of your profits (forgot how much...). There's a guide somewhere around the forums about how to use it if you're unfamiliar with it. o_< I don't remember where it's at.

    Not just that. The PW "auction" house is the ripoff-type, where they even take a fee if the item doesn't sell. Makes it difficult to figure out prices/find out what people will be buying.

    As for the precise numbers --- back when I tried, I couldn't find that information anywhere. I don't trade so I don't really care, but I think it's the first game for me where this remains hidden.

    You have to keep the game running to Catshop but it doesn't have to be a fast PC, an old laptop would work and is usually more energy efficient than running a desktop.

    Obviously it is very possible to Catshop in West Arch or else there would be no Catshops there. The only difference is that if you are using a slow PC to catshop, getting setup might be a bit laggy.

    The Auction house is a great place to sell stuff without a Catshop, but you need to figure out what is worth selling there and what is not. There is a small listing fee and they take 5% of your sale price IF the item sells. Not much different from RL Ebay.

    Typically you only want to sell valuable items worth 100K or more in the AH. Legendary gear, 3* with great stats, Fashion, Mounts, Aerogear, etc. Just factor in the 5% commission you will be paying. Sometimes you may have to re-list a few times before it sells. But anything desirable will probably sell much faster in the AH than through a Catshop because of the much increased exposure.
