for those who are looking for something different in the DQ rewards, there finally is something really cute, that a lot of venos have wished they could catch....the Blue Lemur from the EarthGuard lands! i saw this last night, and snagged it PDQ, for my cleric, so she has a nice pet for herself now. for me, this lil guy is perfect- Pilar pig cant fly in instances, , already have the white horse, and other prizes werent that interesting. but i had wished from the beginning that animals from the EG areas could be caught- well, i have one now!b:cute

    What does the Blue Lemur do? And what level do you have to be to use it?
    I dont think I would want one for myself, but my best friend (a lvl27 Mystic) loves cute things, and I think she might like one if she can use it.

    It doesn't actually do anything except run next to you and be cute. There is no level requirement to have it. If you're planning to get it for your friend then don't bother. It's bound to the account that you get it on. Unless you plan to give her a bunch of DQ items so she can get the lemur herselfb:question

    Well, I'd have better wished for a Red Butterfly as an AC pet but oh well.
    I must say the lemur has a funny old man look but what is with its eyes? They creep me out...

    its common IRL for animals who are active at night or in darkish areas to have large eyes. and the EG area is pretty dark and much like a rain forest where real lemurs live.

    personally, i would rather have had one of the squirrels, or, even better the deer in the park in the center of Talus City, but this is the best i could do.

    and no, these are just pets-not fighting pets. just little friends to have along. i've always had a pet with my cleric, but till recently it was only a snow hare. this is much better!

    dont worry, his eyes arent really that big. he has large rings of dark fur round large eyes, so it makes them look twice as big as they actually are.

    Haha, don't worry, I am a fan of the animal world, so I know about lemurs and especially the Aye-Aye (DuckTapez, now THIS one is kinda scary-looking, but it still cracks me up for a reason).

    What startled me about your pic is that it looks like the lemur's eyes are made out of lacquered wood, with a part that is literally carved for the pupils (the latter part being really odd to my mind each time I look at it). I wish the eyes were of a different color. But hey...

    And yes, those deers would be superb as an AC pet. Oh well... See you later!

    I was disappointed the new adds to DQ points were pets and those stupid little packs. I don't play the game for fashion, pets, wings... I'm gear/character focussed and was hoping PW would add something to assist in gameplay, not a pet.

    (p.s. pets drive me nuts because as a tank I keep seeing mobs running after people on my map, causing me to turn around. I've let my friend die a few times when she aggroed mobs but I couldn't tell because I was so used to a pet "dot" on my map that I ignored it. The story of the girl who cried Lemur.)

    ummm... you can get that guy free from the Maiden-Kissed Chest if your on enough to do the low level 'tree FB' quests that pop up. Its been around before the DQ too... The drop rate isnt that bad....
