Class selection?

Greetings.
I am a new player to the game but have 15+ years of online mmo playing experience. I would like to know what class/race to choose as a start character. My goal with this first character is to have a reliable "farm/exploration" char that can take on abit of attackers and still be a decent damage dealer. My main goal in the start is offcourse to farm together a decent cash/item ground along with learning the games mechanics.

    I'd recommend venomancer, if you don't mind playing a female character. Low operating costs (low repairs, little need to buy potions), pet takes most hits and can tank several mobs your level, pet can fight mobs while you pick up drops/gather mats.

    Sounds great. do you happen to know/have a skill spec for that class? and what race should i choose

    Venomancers are fairly newbie friendly and if you're familiar with other mmos you'd know why. Basically you can get a pet and have it tank for you while you unload skills on it. Then you have the amazing ability to Self Sustain yourself with a free HP spell and free MP skill, and even one that lets you switch between in case you need more of the other. For dungeons you can safely pull mobs unlike those sins tho try to zeal lure and end up baiting half the room. In team play you're a main debuffer, weakening bosses and removing positive buffs.

    Venomancer is exclusive to the untamed race (each race has two classes, none shared with any other race.)

    If you want, you could also try a seeker. They're pretty easy, but I don't have a venomancer so I don't know if it's harder than that or not. Either way, good luck!
