Someone pls give me a tip on blacksmithing

First of all what is blacksmithing and what can i do with it?
I've trained the skill i got a picture of it in "R" and it sais basic blacksmithing skill but i dont know how to use it and what to use it for :S
So if can anyone pls give me a detailed guide i would really appreciate it

    How to Increase the Mastery Level

    Manufacturing equipments or restorative powders increase the mastery level. However, this only works when the current production skill level and the level of equipments or powders are the same.

    For example:

    If the current Production skill level is 3, only by manufacturing level 3 equipments/powders will increase the mastery level.
    If the current Production skill level is 6, manufacturing level 1-5 equipments/powders will not increase the mastery level.

    Only need sandstone, pig iron, coal and jade, so no combining or mob drop mats makes it really easy. You can buy jade from the merchant.
    Not sure about lvl 3 smith skill, but lvl 4 is hard because u need a lot of mob drop mats, use pwi wiki to check mob drop rate %.
