I'm a low level barb and have huge mana troubles which i expected to have happen. How will this be solved without putting points into magic? Does it "fix" itself with levels or do i need items?

    Use mana potions.

Eventually, at lvl 75, you'll gain access to mana potions that will give you more MP than your maximum and they're cheap as dirt too.

MP never is a problem for melee chars (except Veno in fox mode, since they have infinite MP anyways), I hardly buy MP pots for my chars and when you need to buy, you can always get a MP pot 2 orr 3 levels above your handcap.

One thing that works at lower levels is to find some cheap +MP regen gear. (Usually hats)

You're giving up your hat slot (which would usually have some +HP) in exchange for +MP and mp regen. It works really well on my minibarb.

Other than that, yup, chug down those mana pots that us venomancers tend to just NPC.

You can farm/buy some herbs to make mana regen apoth, which comes in lvl 45, and up versions. Higher the level the better. Check the Apothecary NPC to see what herbs you need.

add 1 point to magic every level and you'll be fine.

At level 73, my nana is only 1,200 or something like that. Level 40 pots are more than enough to keep my mana full. They're also cheaper than MP food.

Never add mana to your barb :-)

    Just my opinion

    get it with gear
19k Hp and rising my goal is 20k unbuffed (would love 25k )

    NOOOOOOOOO don't do that.

Personally, you should be using elemental necklaces and belts for mag resist. It's typically pretty easy to find those with +MP regen or +mp/MAG.

Even in the 90's, I still only use a level 60 MP pot to fully replenish my mana on my barb and it still lasts, even with Sage skills.

Don't listen to him, he is either trolling or not knowing anything about game ways yet -.-
If u do what he said, u'll end up deleting ur barb....

About mp, try to get some +MP hat or ornament(necklace, belt, rings), it will help u, but only in meditating..So get ready to spend some mp pots :) GL b:cute

For barbarians to kill pretty quickly (or even tank in squads excellently), you will need to use MP potions, and if your character is level 30 and above, i advise you to use focus powders which recovers 50 mana per second within 10 minutes when you are not in battle.

Also, putting magic points will not solve any problems because barbs burn too much MP anyway. Recovery really matters, barbs burn the most MP ingame because of lowest MP pool and MP gained from stats, even heavy armor gives the least MP gain (which barbs should have). You would only get 7 MP per MAG, so its really not worth it. You could also have a maximum amount of barb's DEX and use LA for extra MP
(check if it has MP+ because it gives a respectable amount of MP gain), just a thought if that would help your mana troubles.

My solution is Spirit Charms. Can be a bit expensive, but I find a Plat lasts a good long time. The only time I have issues with mana running low is when I am fighting things which steal mana from me. Even then, they still last a lot longer than a Guardian charm.

My BM was leveled the Quest and BH way, opposed to the buy heads way.

I equipped a Plat MP charm at level 24~ish because I had an extra, and NOWHERE to put it.

It lasted until around level 73. I bought another one, which is just about to die at level 89.

I'm pretty sure Barb is gonna be similar. If you tick the charm a bunch during every BH/FCC/whatever you do, and it's only taking 250 off per tick on a 2.5m charm, it should last a loooong time. BM ticks it every time she buffs.

Yup, pretty much how it goes. MP Charms last forever and a day on melee, the most mine ever ticks is when I'm spamming Demon Bell. Sometimes I'll use an MP pot so it won't tick just because it gets a bit annoying sometimes. b:surrender

Mine dont last quite that long, but almost everything I do seems to take mana. Once I reach a point where my skill attacks deal lest damage/sec than just basic hammer blows, I know I'll be golden forever manawise lol.

If you really need more mp get it from magic ornaments. I sometimes use this ring for PVE: http://i.imgur.com/CYL9H.png. You can also use the Blinking Polstice pill from maiden chests for a 1hr +MP buff.

low level barbs should be well off with a couple stacks of MP potions. Unless you go into some heavy duty high lv tanking, MP potions will keep you full all the way. Thats what i used for my barb and had no probs

MP problems on a melee? You should never have as divine NPC gives 1k MP Poultices, extremely cheap (free lol) you get 300 very easily, just for a blue quest of a high level char you get 900s of those pots on the spot (stashable), a purple quest neats you 1600s.

1000mp is more than enough for all my melees but my seeker. I suggest you to stick to the poultice is cheap and good. b:victory
