It's getting close to December and usually it's a month of traditions, and PWI will, hopefully, be no exception.
I was wondering if the staff could bring back the snowmen were going to come back at least sometime in December? I loved farming chi stones and dice tickets, also the Eye of Observations dropped once in awhile were cool too. Does anyone else feel like the snowmen should return?
The snowmen are an awesome tradition that should continue because it truly does give the general player population, both noob and vet, a chance to farm something fun and easy. It also brightens up the mood for players that I have seen.
I placed this thread in the General Section because I also have a question....I don't remember much about the December 2008 Christmas Card event, but I was wondering how it worked and what rewards you get from the quest...this was just for my own nostalgic benefit. b:thanks

First year Christmas event was the best, I remember it like yesterday. LOL, I met so many people while I was farming snowmen, and it was really fun. I'd love for the very first Christmas event to come back this December; we were all very disappointed when it didn't last year. Pl0x frankie?0

I agree. December 2008 was the best Christmas event, which is why I mentioned the Christmas Card Quest series. I remember having the West District chat filled with requests for trading x card for y card. b:chuckle
The snowmen are awesome because it not only represents some of the good things that were offered by PW before things went downhill. But, as I said in my first post, it allows us to get chi stones, which will always been needed. The event might be boring for some, but hey, it's a tradition, something that hopefully most players can continue to enjoy.

The reason for the Christmas event of 2008 not being run since is a difference in events coded in. From what I gather talking to frankie last year, the full event doesn't work correctly anymore on the new server...
I could be wrong, but that's what I thought he was saying...

That was last year pretty much.
They brought out all the packs and give them the discounted price. It's a corny way of giving someone a cheap gift in-game though for the holidays.

i have the same hope- that the snomen are brought back- and the hope that the Christmas Cards, costumes and snowball throwers be brought back as well. the first year had all of the above, but only the snowmen and Christmas outfits were 'available' to the new players (i assume the snowball launcher and cards were available to those who had been in the closed version of the game, and had some practice in how to level faster, and be the level those items were usable by). it would be great if the game could be tweaked to allow all players to play the Christmas card game.

OMG< that is so funny! i saw something like that once on a pserver long time ago. GM made them, then killed them all off, and players rushing in picked up millions of coins stones, high level gems, etc. it was a blast- my newly mad character then had her bank stuffed with as much coin as it could hold, first day!

ewh i vote no for massive lag fest first year when they got snowmen all cities where so laggy think not many would do it if they would drop the same anyway.The best thing was to get all 21 cards for the x-mas tome which was 5mil in those days would be equal to now 60mil depending on server fact is you can get a xmas tome for 300k then second its chi stones while good for low lvs 90+ should already get 80+ perfect stones a day0
