I really don't think there's enough difference between the servers to matter. You'll find plenty of English speaking people on the European servers, and plenty of non-English speakers on the American servers.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Usually:
(Heavens tear) on the Westcoast servers
or
(Raging Tide) on the Eastcoast servers
But, you should still try and choose whichever Server is actually closer to your (Timezone) because, most of the~server events~happen at peek hours on each server..
And since they opened more (timecentric) timezone servers all over the globe, most of the players who used too be on (24/7) on the older servers, have transfered too the 1s closer to their own areas now... So the (off hours) on each server can be pretty dead now, "Unless, we're talking about the initial hour or 2 that the (BH run~Npc) Resets with the new daily runs, other then that it can get pretty boring on off hours."...0 -

LOST CITY is the best. English + PVP = FTW
All the others are just wannabee's.Evolution: Dungeon Master > Bards Tale > Ultima > Archlord > Perfect World

choose another game, not a server,... im still waiting for the release of an epic one, it should come at the beginning of the next year, then im done here,
go to lost or sanc if you really want to **** your life up with this gameSome Rules each PWI Gamer should know
1. Dont break this rules & no matter what: DONT TRUST ANYONE!
2. Dont pay wine or heads fee (like to get kicked after that?) b:chuckle
3. Dont borrow items (since when return gms scammed stuff?) b:embarrass
4. Dont use your password in faction-forums (like hacks?) b:fatb
5. Dont give your mats to the tt-banker (obvious, not?) b:beg
6. Dont wait for help, or heals, or any other miracles,... (for more examples just play pwi and you will hate the whole humanity) b:bye0 -
Seriously, I would strongly suggest that you just select the PvE server that has the best ping for your location. This will likely be the server closest to where you live. It shows you the ping for each server on the log-in page for the game.
I do not know much about the European servers but you will find an evenly balanced population of English speakers and non-English speakers on any of the West or East coast servers so I would not use this as a criteria for selecting a server.0 -
DON'T PICK A PVE server.
You'll spend a zillion hours and gold building your character to 101 then say *** me, I'm bored, wish I could just run around killing people. (or hunting player killers).
I hear it all the time, people regret spending time on PVE.Evolution: Dungeon Master > Bards Tale > Ultima > Archlord > Perfect World

I hear it all the time, people regret spending time on PVE.
...and a lot of people that choose a PvP server deeply regret it and end up either rage-quitting shortly after they start PWI or have to start all over again from scratch on a PvE server. The truth is, it works both ways because people enjoy different things. In any case, despite what players from PvP servers would like you to believe, there is plenty of opportunities to pvp on PvE servers. The only difference is that on a PvE serve you actually get to CHOOSE!!!! when, or if, you pvp rather than getting FORCED into pvp ALL the time.
It is also worth mentioning that with all the changes to PWI and all the over-powered high level players that now exist, joining a PvP server is just asking to get killed over and over again endlessly without any hope of fighting back until you hit end game with ridiculously expensive gear as well which means having to spend far more real life money than you would need to spend on a PvE server. So....if you are looking to socialize which is stated in the original post, AND you are not interested in maxing out your credit card, then you are wise to pick a PvE server.0
