how come 1* ORB is so cheap?

I saw someone selling 1* ORB at 95K on Dreamweaver and she has thousands and thousands of them. Just wonder how she got it so cheap?

    The person bought 100's of orb packs trying to get the 12* ?

    Those are merchant characters that didnt login their chara for a while after buying up stuff.
    a few months ago there was a time that the orb prices did come to that price, a time where AH gold being down and 1*orb set being cheapest in boutique price, crossed. (at least for the merchants) That person probably didnt login till now and kept those orbs. You might as well buy some up and resell them at a bit higher price unless AH gold becomes cheaper again

    I did buy 3000 1* ORB from her because its below cost right now!
    but she still get moreb:surrenderb:surrender

    So I just wonder if I miss something.

    It is because fire packs at 20 for 3.60 golds are actually cheaper orbs than the orbs are priced by then 10. I opened 200 of the fire packs an ended up with a per orb cost of 5silver. Also had benefit of possibly getting a +12 orb-however of course I didn't.

    its semi weird, cause http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/quest/22173 dragon packs chances

    lets say 1* orb is 93K and 12* is 250M, i get average income from one pack 176K
    with gold price 1,15M one packs costs 211K.

    Well I get mostly 2 one stars, but my first pack was a 4 star an I had a 5 star within the first 50. I probably just had alot of luck. I mostly even bought more because my first pack was the 4 star.....

    Not sure how those odd would stack up if you bought say 500 gold worth like alot of orb merchants might. Probably highly dependant on if you were lucky enough to get a 12*. Database % dont always hold true- if it did I wouldnt get nearly as many pack items as I have.

    Still results are likely not predictable or steady.

    if you get the average drops as per pwi database, not including the miniscule chanced of the +12, when gold is 1.1m per, the orbs cost you about 80k, assuming you get the averages per the database

    remember, 92% chance of 2 +1 orbs, so you will get that most of the time
