i need some stat help

im lv27 now and ive been using a build for polearms but im thinking i wanna change my stats to benefit polearms AND fists now. is it too late to start doing a build to compliment both? by the way im going to master polearms first and then add fists later into the game but not both at once. and also are fists even worth being my second weapon or should it be something else?

    You should be able to equip all weapons matching your level. While most will recommend using axes rather than polearms at your lvl all 4 different weapon paths (+ bows) have interesting - though often situational - uses. Getting all the weapons is probably not worth cost-wise at your level but that's important part of the experience with playing a blademaster. Flexibility is the word.

    Concerning your build, you could post the stats but assuming you've only added strength and dexterity so far reverting it with levels is easy and painless.

    im only gonna do poles for right now only. but my build is 5str 2dex 3vit and to use fists i would have to do more dex and to use axes later i would need more strength. should i change my build to 6str and 4 dex from now on?

    I personally don't recommend adding to vit at all. You can get vit/hp from gear and refines.

    My personal opinion: BM without HF (Heaven's Flame) = fail

    The best build for a BM these days is Fist/Claw with axe back-up for HF. You can always add sword into the mix l8r for Myraid (good on GBA in TT3-1...and other bosses).

    At lvl27 I'd just start over...not worth the rest notes.

    Go with axe til lvl60 (unless u r lucky enough to get a good low lvl mold fist/claw) then switch to fist/claw. It's best to look ahead to note stats needed for gear, and plan to meet them.

    I'm personally shooting for 160 dex on my BM by lvl95 then switching to all str from there...so not exactly a set amount by 2 lvls.

    Start heavy on str with some dex (6/4 might work) until mid 40's...then go heavy on dex til u meet the req on TT60 fists. From there look ahead every 10 lvls for weapon and armor req's for str/dex.

    3 vit every 2 levels at level 27 is only 39 vitality. Restating is an option but a little vitality isn't a bad idea as long as he can plan his next gear and get things like a tome and some + stat gear. Also, if he doesn't mind using weapons that aren't current.

    Deicides at level 95 require 193 dex so I'd aim for that. Then again, you weren't asking for advice.

    Basically, the number one thing people expect from a BM is that you HF and that requires an axe. The best damage output weapon BMs can use is claws. For this reason, most BM's aim for fists and axes. Axes require 3 str/level, fists require 2 dex/level. That's your 5 stats and doesn't leave room for vitality. If you stat for these 2 weapons you can use poles and swords also and have stronger attacks and better accuracy than other pole users. You can afford some vitality if you have things like a tome then you can stat points into vitality instead (for instance a +4 strength tome means you can add 4 stat points to vit instead.) You can also chose to use axes or claws later than normal. For instance using level 60 axes at level 70 because you don't have the strength for level 70 axes. 3 str/2 dex per level is your highest DD output build and allows you to use all weapons. Being clever you can get 3/2 build and still add a few points to vitality.

    thanks for the advice everyone, it really helps. i really dont want to but right now im leaning towards starting over but im still not sure so for now i will just do 3 str and 2 dex or something and see how it goes

    At the moment, I am still following 3str/2dex build. Only use axe/fists combo, don't see the point to get swords. b:cute

    The lvl100bms I use to work with, all use axe/fists. None use sword, and occasionally they also use Pole for accuracy, but only in pk though. lol.

    I went a different route than most of the above, but i had to restat later to use fists at lvl 70. I went 3str, 1 dex, 1 vit per lvl. Having that extra vit from 0~70 helped me survive my solo quest life. At 70 axes were too slow in killing mobs, i chose to restat my bm to 3str and 2 dex. I lost quite a bit of hp, but at that point mobs died sooner. My gear was bad as well, most things around lvl 50~60 armour wise.

    I did pick up each drop, dq item, coin from every mob i killed. Paying for the restat notes wiped the few million i gathered, but i didn't have to pay for it.
