People share the same feelings I have seen from players about Buff begging and Duel begging. Those people who do not wish to spend their day buffing people or spend their entire day dueling someone who cant understand a level 40 sin has very little chance killing a lvl 85 barb. The big difference is those who dont wish to buff or duel are NOT forced into doing it. Yet those players who seem to be for the SP blunder can not understand why others dont want to be harassed.

I know for some the concept is way over their head but no matter how you minimize the fact... people DO wish to do the quests and kill the monsters in SP. Until SP is fixed to allow blue names to pass with out being harassed, threads will continue to pop up... NOT from the same people but from NEW people who are as equally frustrated. Those of us who share that feeling will continue to talk about the issue and NOT stop.

Again my suggestion is if ANY one does not like people talking about the SP issue to ignore those threads and move on. The people coming to the SP threads just to minimize the arguments or QQ over SP being fixed can feel free to express their opinion but note it will not deter those of us who will remain in the forums until this blunder is corrected.

Well not being harrassed is one thing, and that is 100% valid,

But PvE servers were never meant to be completely devoid of pvp. They simply provide the convenience of the button, and instance pvp remains on a whole different level. The argument of "you want pvp go pvp server" is nullified by the fact that in game we have the open PK option, PvP events, and dueling. I don't know why people use that rhetoric with such conviction when a little time spent in game will nullify it.

Hammer, meet nail head.

On PvE servers, the goal is to reduce the number of forced-PK situations and give the players the control of entering combat. However, it's not completely absent. A player still has to wait the hours it takes for PvP mode to cool off, for instance, before they're safe. During this time, forced encounters can and do occur.

With that said, every scenario is considered on a one-by-one basis on whether it serves a purpose or not. There's no blank generalization that covers every PvP scenario in PWI.

I agree PVE servers should not be void but my point goes to those players who seem consumed with ONLY pvp. There are far too many players who have skipped the vast majority of PVE on a PVE server only to be power leveled so they can PVP and cry they are bored. The player who occasionally enjoys an occasional pvp event, cube, duel or TW is not who I mean. Those who never want to do ANY thing BUT pvp and are the player who goes to an instance and between bosses wants to duel everyone in group (mind you not for chi but actually wants to duel) should suck it up and go to a PVP server. That is the entire intention of a pvp server. But as it is treated in PWI... players want to PVP with no penalty and instead of getting the penalties changed they rather suck up the oxygen on a PVE server and QQ cause they are bored.

AND the concept most tend to dismiss is those players who knew they did not wish to PVP are being forced into a disadvantaged PVP situation after long being told a player will NOT get PK unless they hit their PK button. Unlike on a PVP server where there may be an occasional high level player camping an area... SP has now funneled several higher level players into a small space and they stay for a majority of the day.

After lists of things which were promised to be fixed in game, players given time frames which pass with no comment until mass outrage erupts and the only thing players see for weeks are changes to descriptions or names of NPCs (which are probably all done at the PWE office) it is really hard for anyone to even believe this change will EVER happen. We have heard way too many people cry wolf and never seen anything.

Next to that, idk if you actually paid any attention, but just like you i -have- been defending frankie and his entourage quite often.
But sticking up for people that keep letting you down, keep dissapointing and only try to win our trust back with excuses, i dont think you'd do that for too long either. would you.

edit: on a side note, i'm not even adressing Geno personally if that is your concern. unlike most; she's actually quite active and enjoying a nice discussion in the .ini editting thread. it may not be SP/goonz/glitch/fixing related but at least she's actively talking.

Look. I've been playing MMOs for going on 7 years(or is that 8? Damn, I'm getting old). I know when voicing complaints to them becomes useless and redundant.

Letting me down personally? Nah. I've played MMOs with far, far worse care their company put into it than PWE is putting into PWI. My expectations are far too low for PWI to disappoint me. Not to mention, I prepared for this. I can wait another 8 weeks if necessary. I'm actually shocked and awed at them even displaying a HINT of the possibility of fixing SP, let along the idea of it actually being fixed.

However, I've posted earlier that I do sympathize with everyone that wants SP back. But I do know when these complaints get too ridiculous.

And that's where i think you judged the book too soon by it's cover mate.

From the very moment SP turned open pvp i've been saying, revert it back but dont forget about the people who -do- wanted it.
There is really no problem in giving both parties what they want. The recourses -are- there.

where PWI staff is concerned, how ever, it used to different. we actually got information, we actually got things done but they fired the guy that made it happen... now, we get misplaced jokes, vague information, promises that arent kept and double edged sword solutions that often dont even work!

the issue has long since surpassed the actual sp revertion but more towards the "well... where is it? you promised it to us days/weeks ago" and getting nothing but " ah yeah hey eerhmmm... working on it! in the mean time.. look at this shiney bauble that you've already seen millions of times!!"
Add that to everything else that gets treated that way and you'll get alot of offended people.

also, personal expierence + personal standards and values and alittle human dignity is what makes these complaints thrive.
it is never redundant and useless to remind people about the behaviour their putting across and how people feel treated.

A dog that keeps pissing on your carpet isn't just ignored either is it ?
(not saying pwi is comparable to a dog... just the first comparison of cause=>effect i could think of lol)

Bytch please, gtfo with dat BS. You know as well as I do that Goons, SP, Rubberband and every other glitch/change is here to stay. I'm gonna go PK some blue names in SP right now, just so I can confirm that it's still on.

When I've killed about 15 or 20 or so I'll probably be confident enough to think that I can rest assured it's real.
