I made some research based on pwi wiki: http://pwi-wiki.perfectworld.com/index.php/EXP
What is actually better? Go to FCC with smaller or higher leveled players?
Is it true that the exp loss dramaticly increases if the level range of squad members is higher then +/-10?
Shoking news!
This is what i found out:
Basics: Mobs in FCC are ~lvl85, Exp from killing one Mob is about: 2k
Scenario 1: You are lvl 85,
Squad of 6 People: 75-85
You get: 666 exp
Scenario 2: You are lvl 85,
Squad of 6 People: 85-95
You get: 417 exp !!!
So better go in Squad with people allways lower then yourself!
Scenario 3: You are lvl 95,
Squad of 6 People: 85-95
You get: 466 exp !!!
Scenario 4: You are lvl 95,
Squad of 6 People: 95-105
You get: 120 exp !!!
So far so good maybe you discovered nothing interesting yet, maybe you did,
but now the shoking news! b:shocked
Scenario 5: You are lvl 95,
Squad of 6 People: 1-95
You get: still 466 exp !!
b:shocked so you can drag low level players along with you they level difference dont couse you exp loss! Just the number of players in squad do!
Same with Scenario 6: You are lvl 85,
Squad of 6 People: 1-85
You still get your 666 EXP !
Just for the clueless ones:
Scenario 7: You are lvl 85,
Squad of 6 People: 1-95
You get: 417 exp
Now the interesting part of low level players who want to level up fast and easy:
Scenario 8: You are lvl 1,
Squad of 6 People 1-85
You get: 7 exp
Scenario 9: You are lvl 1,
Squad of 6 People 1-95
You get: 4 exp
This were all the things you wanted ever have proove about,
Now the impossible things:
Scenario 10: You are lvl 1,
Squad of 6 People 1-1
You get 800 exp b:shocked
Scenario 11: You are lvl 1,
Squad of 6 People 1-5
You get 160 exp b:shocked
Scenario 12: You are lvl 1,
Squad of 6 People 1-11
You get: 72 exp
Scenario 13: You are lvl 1,
Squad of 6 People 1-12 (1 lvl higher then the +/-10lvls rule)
You get: 66 exp
just to compare:
Scenario 14: You are lvl12,
Squad of 6 People 1-12
You get: 800 exp !!!
For the last and least difference of players in squad and your exp loss per player:
Scenario 15: You are lvl85,
Squad of 5 People 1-85
You get: 720 exp
Scenario 16: You are lvl85,
Squad of 4 People 1-85
You get: 800 exp
jump over to the point:
Scenario 17: You are lvl85
Single
You get: 2000 exp
Now whats left?
Scenario 18: You are lvl95
Single
You get: 1400 exp
Scenario 19: You are lvl105
Single
You get: 361 exp
Last Scenario 20: You are lvl105
Squad of 6 people 1-105 or 95-105 DOESNT MATTER!
You get: 133 exp
Any other Scenarios you want to know? feel free to post i will make them
YEA I KNOW THIS ARE BASICS
Just nice to have them at least once written down :P

The information on XP gain in the wiki is wrong, making all the scenarios you posted wrong. Here are some ACTUAL numbers from REAL tests done in game:
Party with 101 + 95 level characters:
Kill Snowy familiar: 101 gets 62xp, 95 gets 58xp
Kill Warbear of Antiquity: 101 gets 170xp, 95 gets 160 xp.
Replace 95 level character with 78 level character:
Kill Snowy familiar: 101 gets 56xp, 78 gets 44xp
Kill Warbear of Antiquity: 101 gets 155xp, 78 gets 120 xp.
Replacing the 95 level with a level 78 causes BOTH players to get less xp
3 Member party: 101, 97 & 95
Kill Warbear of Antiquity: 101 gets 133xp, 97 gets 127xp, 95 gets 125xp
Replace the level 97 with level 78 (101, 95 & 78 in now):
Kill Warbear of Antiquity: 101 gets 101xp, 95 gets 95xp, 78 gets 78xp
Again, replacing the higher level character causes ALL characters to get less xp
Here's a 6 member party test (101, 101, 101, 100, 100, & 95)
Kill Warbear of Antiquity: 101s get 97xp, 100s get 96xp, 95 gets 92xp
Replace a 101 level with level 31 (101, 101, 100, 100 ,95 & 31 now)
Kill Warbear of Antiquity: 101s get 53xp, 100s get 52xp, 95 gets 49xp, 31 gets 16xp
Replacing the higher level character again causes a huge reduction for ALL characters.
I have a lot more test results, but I don't think it's really necessary to post them all here. Now, we can please put this nonsense to rest - a level 20 or greater difference between party members causes a reduction in xp for all members.
Here is the real method used to determine XP gain in a party:
Take the base XP
Step 1: Multiply by a factor based on the difference between the highest level member and the monster's level (you can find this number on pwdatabase: www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/drop)
Step 2: Multiply by a factor based on the number of members in the party:
2 members: 1.2
3 members: 1.4
4 members: 1.64
5 members: 1.85
6 members: 2.1
Here's the important part relevant this thread: If the level difference between highest and lowest level character is 20 or greater you don't get this bonus
Step 3: Round value to nearest integer
Step 4: For each character, multiply by their level divided by the sum of all members' levels.
For this step any character below level 20 is treated as being level 20.
Step 5: Round value to nearest integer
Step 6: If you used hypers multiply by 12, double xp multiply 2, etc.0 -
Might want to correct the title of the thread "FCC EXP Guide"
Otherwise, good info. It basically shows that the exp gained for the entire squad is based on the highest level character in the group and the span of levels of the other players.
This is also why we try to do FCC runs in 10-level spans, so as not to gimp our exp.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Nice breakdown, except there are also "hidden" steps at which experience if affected other than just level difference.
Easiest example to verify: try running FC with a 95-99 group, then try running with a 94-98 group. You'll find that for some reason the experience gets dramatically nerfed having a 99 in the group. On the same note, try a 99-101 group. Somehow there is a change in between 98-99 that has a huge effect on who you group with vs. the exp you get ...frankieraye
Oh the snowmen are coming, don't you worry..0 -
Those steps aren't hidden, and have been well known for a very long time.
The difference is based on the level difference from the mobs; in FC they are all 88.
Therefore if your highest level is 91, there will be a 10% nerf, 93 a 20% nerf, 96 a 30% nerf, 99 a 50% nerf and 103 a 70% nerf.
This is, at some point, referenced in every (relevant) post on this thread.0
