Anyone else having serious lag right now on the Raging Tide server.... 7000 to 14000 mseconds...

Done the usual checks re net connection etc all fine with great ping times and average bandwidth speeds normal... not doing anything in background etc...

Was fine earlier today...

yeah i'm having issues with the lag too and i've noticed in world chat that alot of other people are having the same problems in different areas of the world. I've been having the lag issues for quite some time and it would really be nice if the problem could be fixed sometime soon as well. its just getting a bit ridiculous. the lag is getting soo bad that it disconnects me when i'm still connected to the internet.b:angry

plz fix the problem pwi b:cry i love this game but now the lag is getting so bad i'm not so sure i can keep playing it b:cry

See stop 13 there? That's where your issue is. And it's not a PWE connection. Hop 14 is the border hub before you hit PWI's ISP. 15 would be PWI's ISP and you're not going to get a response there because of protocols in place to prevent a DDoS attack.

Do your traceroute when you are having the issue and post it. I'm currently gettin an in-game ping of 1900. (in-game is typically 20-30% higher than actual at a minimum) My ping response from the server selection screen is 47.

... the lag is getting soo bad that it disconnects me when i'm still connected to the internet.b:angry...
The lag, and your connection to the internet are not related.

I've tried a few more tests, and it looks like that regional hub causing the issue, not PWE or their servers.

Read the third post in This thread.

if you're still confused, please post a copy of your traceroute, OS (Operating System), system and local network specs, and any security software you have running.

    DO NOT POST THIS INFORMATION

ok perhaps you could explain to me how posting this information could get you ****?

    Here' have a shot...

    Operating System: Windows 8
    Ram: 4GB
    Video: Nvidia GTX480 1GB
Local Network: 100/1000MB wired connection into a Linksys Router that is connected into my ADSL Modem.
Internet: 12MB down 2MB up ADSL fiber.
    Anti-Virus: Avira
    Anti-Malware: Malwarebytes

Now, I want everyone to take that information and try to **** anyone with it.

    You can't do it.

I know, I've been hacking systems for over 20 years now. I work in network security.

For Lady_storm, hop 14 is your problem. that's the router that is dropping packets. It's still not connected to PWE.
