    I think the example above about the restaurant is excellent. Fact is Frankie has no clue when it will come to us. Fact is China wants to roll out some big new content which I am sure will be the finished product from their little experiment in SP but will not change SP till they have their new content ready. Fact is China does not realize the player base is bleeding here in PWI because they do not have an understanding of the differences in player base.

    If complaining supposedly is getting SP changed then people better hang on while the complaints flow cause complaints over this blunder wont stop till its fixed. If you dont like the complaints about SP -OR- Frankie... DONT come into these threads.

    And to Frankie... my suggestion is every email, letter or call to China contains the message that people are still raging mad and want to know when SP will be fixed. Make sure they are CLEAR that people will NOT buy zen or support those players who DO buy zen (via catshops) until this mysterious patch "_ _ _ (cold day in hell) _ _ _" is implemented fixing the blunder in SP.

    you do know this is the most stupidest threat to make in this particular mmo right. For every one person who says i will not buy Zen till such and such is fixed, there is still another 2 people buying more. There will always be players charging more Zen then players boycotting it over bugs in game.

    I really don't get why they don't use the Arena as PVP instance. The name is right, the place is right, it would be perfect if it had a spectators area and if you could place bets.

    I thought so. It would be really cool to have 2 vs 2 fights and fights to the last man standing and more of that. Where people can sign up and get a random opponent in the same level range. That way it would be fair for everyone to play in it. Even better would be if the winner got some prize money as well. Like put a fee on the bets and pay the money of the fees out to the winner.

    Not that this would happen, but it would be fun to think about it b:pleased

    I like the idea there, I have thought in the past this would make a great idea. Problem is, have you ever been in a TW 80v80? it is laggy as hell when one factions side meets with the other trying to push out of base. Then you have to consider how many big factions there are if more then a 2 TW teams and spectators show up good luck not lagging out :P. Although a solution for this could be have multiple areas that people can singly select from a list to break apart the traffic.

    I agree a totally separate place free from any traffic for open PVP with a few limits on size and level ranges with a spectator area (also limited to number of spectators) would be IDEAL. An area similar (but with out the upper boss area) to the last boss area for TT2-3 would be awesome. Space or spaces above the fighting area for spectators and a huge round space with tall ceiling. Would also be nice to have an actual "arena mode" were you go in and get 2 mins to pick up arena gear which puts everyone on equal grounds for main gear. The gear would automatically be made to suit your class.

    I still laugh at the fact some of the people most against the harassment style PK in SP are the players giving the most detailed and creative ideas on how to provide better ideas for the people in favor of a penalty free PVP zone. While the players who want to QQ about anyone complaining against the harassment in SP provide one word answers for ideas like "Arena". That ranks up there with Frankieraye saying SOON.

    Hmmm SP isnt a bug... its a **** poor roll out of an intended change which provides FORCED pvp to pve players on PVE servers. The BREAKING NEWS thread announcing SP to be reverted came shortly after several threads indicating players would no longer be buying zen and several emails to investor relations and management in china. Could be coincidence. One thing to remember is those players who buy huge amounts of zen to get gear or who depend on others to buy the gear they have obtained from purchasing zen will come to an end fast when new players are NOT joining the game because of the harassment taking place in SP. So tout all you want that people are spending wild... WHY would we see HUGE drastic sales if business was booming? Dont understand sales? You dont mark items down further (especially virtual items) if people are widely spending. At some point everyone who is still playing the game has all the gear they need and have no reason to buy zen. The only people then who would buy zen would be those who put stuff in cat shops. If there are no NEW players buying their wares in cat shops cause anyone wanting to go to SP has to put up with hours of constant PK... those players buying zen wont buy as much as they will be stuck with stuff they cant sell.

    So if I declare I am not spending money on Zen or not... Others have publically stated the same. I have a list of friends who have left the game and most of them were new players who had a bad experience in SP. Most of those players will NOT come back as they see the choice to force PVP on players in SP has one of the stupidest blunders the developers have rolled out if you can call it a roll out.

    So keep dreaming this is sustainable and everyone will keep buying stuff cause for each player NOT buying zen there is also someone LEAVING the game who will not buy those two players who are buying zens wares.

    That's just because I'm a weirdo... I hate the fact that SP is PK Enabled and that some childish jerks are abusing it but I also feel bad for the players who just want to enjoy a penalty-free PK and aren't (intentionaly) bothering bypassers with it... If it weren't for some jerks ruining it for everyone the PK in SP thing wouldn't even be an issiue in the first place... b:surrender

    If frankie is not in control, and China is (which is indeed the case), he needs to tell us that.

    And I don't mean just mentioning it in some conciliatory fashion when we've yelled at him enough. I mean, this needs to be common, universal knowledge. We have a thread here every other day blaming frankie for things he clearly has no control over. And yeah, part of that is because people are idiots and don't read, but the larger part is that PW*'s corporate culture has zero transparency. Frankie is the only one we're designed to communicate with. The other admins (including geno, apparently) are not even at liberty to discuss what they do at PWE. What the hell kind of policy is that??

    If China is responsible for something, let us know in no uncertain terms. I want frankie up there saying "yeah uh, honestly? I have no idea why the devs royally screwed us on this one... but I'm going to bat for you guys anyway." Ideally I'd like to see a record of correspondence, emails, phone calls, etc., because honestly, I doubt it's entirely the devs' fault for all the delays. But even if it is... we have been patient and respectful and forgiving for months, even years in some cases, and we are simply told to continue waiting. The buck has to stop somewhere, folks. You cannot have a functional business, much less a functional society, without some accountability.

    I was among those who defended frankie for many an incident (even the "mod riots" last year, for the most part). But the SP fiasco destroyed most of my respect for frankie. It wasn't the fact that it happened or that he delivered the message. It wasn't even the timetable he gave us. It was that, at the beginning, he lied to us. He tried to slap a smiley-face over the whole thing and pretend it was good. He was trying to play damage control, not to sympathize with us.

    Why would suggestions on a penalty free PVP area for all to enjoy warrant a lock? If they're smart they won't lock for that since that will only show us that they don't give a flying f.uck about us or suggestions we have to make the game better and more enjoyable for everyone.

    I agree... the rough concept was a good idea. And I agree with you... I do feel sorry for those who enjoy going to a free for all PVP place to have some fun with friends as I too have enjoyed pvp in other games. I just keep laughing cause those players we are defending who dont bother others and just want a fun place to go... have not stepped up to the plate to share some creative ideas on how to correct and improve the rough concept which has so failed miserably in SP.

    And at this point I thing more people are now mad at the **** poor communication and failure to keep promises from our CM and management. If PWE is a subsidiary or contractual company to PW China... there must be a manager over Frankieraye or we would not have seen Spoonz fired. It is quite obvious the management OVER Frankieraye is either not reading the forum, not getting the REAL story from frankieraye or too damn dumb to understand how they are **** their product into being nothing of value.

    but he/she is the one put here to be our communication with the people behind the scenes, and that includes the deves.

    so, not being able to get in touch with the deves directly (and i dont think tickets do a good job of communication with them, since 99% of them come back rubberstamped "thank you for your suggestions, we will pass them along',) Frankie is here to be the one we talk to.

    The majority of people are happy with this game. They therefore have virtually no reason to come to the forum.

    go play on HT and read WC, nope... the majorty arent' happy about this, and they werent' when this **** started either. Guess u never saw the 500 PAGE thread on this **** huh? People have been posting about this **** that never posted on here before.

    Hell we tried the other night to get Silver frost yet a 3rd day for somone in the guild..... walked through the doorway and they got one shot over and over... and over.... by the same people that was doing this **** 7 weeks ago. Seriously.... these BRATS have nothing better to f'ing do.
