R9, Warsoul, or Nirvana?

I was looking at the Single Butterfly (warsoul) because its power seems to rival the R9 and Nirvana, and its level requirement is 80 instead of 100. R9 has great set bonus stats, but that's if I get the set. Nirvana have excellent stat but they're randomly set and the chance of getting all 3 stat set to great ones seems really low. I want a powerful weapon that can last me for at least 10 levels, and I am willing to grind a hole to China to get it. But I'm not sure which to go with, and researching came back with so much information I'm still a bit confused. What do you say for weapon choice that will probably be end-game or second to last weapon?

Well...end-game wep?
R9
Nirvana
Warsoul
in order of what is best. Also warsoul atm would be around 7.5 or so thousand USD. So that is around 7.5 bil if I remember right...maybe more @_@Nothing worthwhile to mention here, enjoy the animated signature~

Warsoul, R9, and Nirvy weps are not for use of 10 levels, but instead endgame gear, so you will keep it for the rest of your PW career.
Warsoul, you will probably never be able to afford it through simply grinding because it costs billions of coins. It is very good as a single weapon, and also incredibly rare.
A full set of R9 is a lot cheaper than a warsoul weapon, and gives a lot more attack and defense levels, total. So this would be your best bet. If you are a diehard channeling type of person, you might not want R9. Aside from that, it is the best set ingame.
I do not see the point of getting just the R9 weapon. Might as well get the full set, to get the bonus attack and defense levels.
Nirvana is decent, but there is an obvious gap between nirvana and R9, although nirvana is many times cheaper. You are right, chances of getting the exact bonuses you want might take forever.
But PWI is rumored to come out with a reforgable R9, which would mean that you can get the bonuses you want on there too.
Overall I am a fan of R9. I hope my suggestions above helped.the loser fail nab cleric from dreamweaver who quit pwi, but still wanders the forums.0 -
If you're going to go r9 at all as a cleric, get the r9 armor set first.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It seems the players response is all R9, and the currents of Boutique sales since Medal was taken off DQ reward list also supports that. Will PWI move to make warsoul more boutique-available like R9 in the future too?
Either way I'm still a long way off from owning either R9 set or Butterfly, but it's good to have some kind of a goal to save towards. Thank you all for replying.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Just a correction, during the sale, a full Rank 9 set is cheaper than a full Second Recast Nirvana set. I made a spreadsheet to compare. Though this was some months ago and on Harshlands server. I also used a lunar based nirvana set as I liked that better. A TT based set would be cheaper. Though you said that you will prefer farming. So in case you farm the Rapture/Uncanny Crystals then that will make the Second Recast Nirvana set way cheaper. However, the full Rank 9 set is better than the full Second Recast Nirvana set.
Here is the spreadsheet:

Who knows if there will be a sale for it? But regardless, Warsoul is not as good as r9, and the only reason to get it is for looks. Warsoul weps look amazing.the loser fail nab cleric from dreamweaver who quit pwi, but still wanders the forums.0 -

Somehow I doubt Uncannies cost 1.6m on your server. You should treat Uncanny and Rapture as having separate costs. When it was first released R9 was much cheaper than g15 nirvana but now it is like 1.5-2x more expensive. Still comparable IMO.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yeah... What aste said. I got all my Nirvana gear free cause the only thing i had to pay was my time. I farmed everything. I didn't spend one coin on any canny.
I think if i remember well, Nirvana has only 7 defense lvls less than R9. R9 has more attack lvls but whats a cleric gonna do with attack lvls? Tw you don't attack you heal. Attack lvls =/= better heals.lalalala Pokemon

I looked around updated the crystals' prices in the spreadsheet. The prices are now much closer but the Rank 9 set is still a little cheaper (unless you farm all or a significant number of the crystals yourself) and more powerful.
Oh and I am just curious since my characters are not 100 yet, how much effort would it take to farm the crystals?0 -

Rank 9 is not cheaper.
1.5mil for Rapture crystals, 250 for Weapon + 30 for Recast.
So
Weapon: 420, 000 000 (420mil.)
380k for 1 uncanny
Total Cannies needed for full nirvana: 1550
1550x380k = 589, 000 000 (589mil)
Armour: 589, 000 000 (589mil)
Total: 589, 000 000 (589mil)+420, 000 000 (420mil) = 1, 009 000 000 (1bil and 9mil)
Rank 9:
108 Gold for 300k Rep.
108 * 1.2mil (Assumed Gold Price) = 129 600 000 (129.6mil)
19 medals of glory = 380 gold.
380 * 1.2mil (Assumed Gold Price) = 456 000 000 (465mil)
205 General Summer's Tokens (1025 Gold)
1025 * 1.2mil (Assumed Gold Price) = 1 230 000 000 (1bil and 230mil)
Total: 1513 Gold * 1.2mil = 1 815 600 000 (1bil and 815,6mil)
Rank 9 is NOT cheaper than Nirvanalalalala Pokemon

it doesnt take THAT much effort to farm the crystals... clerics are still needed (for most squads) in nirvana and you can now even do caster nirvanas (3 a day i think). rapture crystals (crystals needed for the weapon) are not as common as uncannies but i am sure that if you do your caster nirvanas you will (at the very least) get one so that you can set up a shop to buy them in raging tides. you can farm nirvana with a squad and collect the coin that is farmed from the split and/or sell the uncannys you get from the split to buy your raptures for your weapon. on double drop if you farm multiple runs with the same squad you might even get to split raptures between the squad.
i fully farmed a nirvana weapon before r9 came out and honestly i think it does just fine against r9s for endgame. i was also very lucky to get +20 attack level, magic +18 and crit +1 on my 3rd reforge...
goodluck in whatever you decide0 -
Aren't mats for R9 mostly non-farmable but must be bought? I guess in a sense you can say they're "farmable" by grinding enough coins to buy them whenever they become available in cat shop/AH without purchasing zen.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

For a cleric the best damage possible in the game is full R9 armor, and a warsoul weapon. Nothing beats it. This will also cost you roughly $35,000 to buy, refine, and shard.
As a cleric, I would simply go full Rank 9. Its not as fun as farming for nirv, because you can only accumulate items for rank gear during a rank sale (efficiently anyways). But same could be said about nirv (2x drops). Either way, the most cost effective way to be epic pwnzor is to go Rank 9. If you wanna be decent, just get a nirvy G13 weapon, and some 1st cast nirv armor.
High end build: http://pwcalc.com/1831b9097e712248
Normal effective build: http://pwcalc.com/cb130f89554526c4
Or you could be like my cleric, and have less than 100mil worth of gear put together on it. And shove close to a billion into your sin >_> your choice.
But if you look at the differences in those builds, the high end one, as in best possible build short of +12ing the armor, is... a lot more expensive than the normal effective build. Both will achieve absolutely everything you want from the game. PK, TW, PvE, you name it.
Edit: and another thing, nirv is easy enough to find as a cleric, mostly only during 2x. Very few people run nirv if it isnt 2x drops. And if you go R9, youll just be running nirv and selling the drops to buy rank items anyways. or TT or whatever it is you farm, not a lot of option end game. TT3-x or nirv, take your pick.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

That is some good luck! =D
This is encouraging, thank you.
However, I have a couple concerns still. I am confused about the splitting the coins and crystals you are talking about. Is it something like tank chooses first then cleric then so on with the added provision that if there are not enough mats to go around then the total price of the mats gets split among the ones that did not get any mats?
Another concern I have is gear. Or that is not as important as long as I have a G13 or higher weapon and armor, >5000 HP buffed, and as much physical defense as I can get on my cleric?0 -

In response to your questions, nirvana runs in a nutshell: Kill bosses, get items, all items are split evenly, if there are extra items they are sold and split.
Look at it like this, lets say you do a 4 man nirvana run. Your cleric, a sin, a bm, and a veno. You guys kill bosses, each boss drops a "chest", the "chest opener" for the squad picks up the chest, right clicks it, and an item appears. Sometimes you get an uncanny crystal (used in crafting your nirvana armors), sometimes you get something useless, like a mirage, or perfect stone, or a flawless shard. At the end of the run, you pile up everything you have, and split it. Most nirv runs will happen during 2x drops, so each boss will drop TWO chests, (you see why people wait til 2x, takes half as long to farm), so at the end of the run, typically there will be 12 chests with stuff inside. The last boss will not drop a chest, but instead 4 random items, either Rapture crystals (used in nirvana weapons), Uncanny crystals (nirvana armor), or a mirage celestone (worthless). Or any mix of those items, to add up to 4. Maybe 2 raptures an uncanny and a mirage, or something like that.
So lets say at the end of the run, you have 12 chests, and the final boss dropped 2 raptures and 2 uncannies, and in the 12 chests you guys got 7 uncannies, 3 flawless garnet shards, and 2 flawless citrine shards. But how will it be split evenly?? 4 people, but only 2 raptures, and 9 uncannies. Well... each person will get 2 uncannies to themself. The 2 raptures will be sold to a catshop in Raging Tides (outside nirvana) along with the final uncanny crystal, the coins will be split evenly among the 4 people. And the shards will be "randomed out" to the squad. You drop them, wait for them to reset, and then pick them up. whoever they go to gets them. And thats how items are split in nirvana, no picking, no tank > cleric > DD order. Its all 100% even.
On average, during 2x events with a full 6 man squad you will make about a million coins a run, could be 2 mil, could be 500k. If 2x is not on, its about 500k. Honestly, it all depends on the final boss, if he drops 4 raptures, thats 6 mil right there. If he drops 4 mirages, thats zilch. So yea. Chests are like 25% of the run, the other 75% is that last boss.
Uncanny: 375k each
Rapture: 1.6mil each

Though full R9 only has 7 more def lvls than full nirvy. So you wanna pay 800mil for a slight hp increase and for 7 def lvls extra. As if you tw with your cleric those attack lvls of R9 won't help you at all, since att lvls =/= better heals.
This is the main reason why im going for nirvana, if i ever go r9 it'll be on my psy since psy's make much better use of r9 than clerics.
In my opinion that is.lalalala Pokemon

I still haven't quite given up on Single Butterfly, although the immensity of its acquirement is evident.
