I miss the game, tell me why it's pointless to come back

I played PWI since 2008. I really, really enjoyed it. I had a great time and a lot of fun. But in the end the whole experience started to weigh too heavily on me and I quit.
Even so, now and then I miss it so much that I think of coming back. But you can never go back, can you? The game I loved to play doesn't exist anymore.
The endless QQ threads say it all. Sins became a self-sufficient class that can tank, DD and self-heal; other classes became 2nd or 3rd rate and hardly any of them play their role anymore. Playstyle is repetitive and boring. Bugs and exploits are not corrected by the devs and GMs. People, for the most part, are rude. Or maybe it was mostly the gang I was running with.
It seems pointless to spend so much time grinding, so much repetition, so much boring inventory-handling, and after spending months and years playing, to be expected to spend thousands of dollars to buy gear so you can compete in TW, which seems to be the only thing that keeps people interested at endgame.
I halfway expected the Genesis expansion to make things better, but it seems that neither mystic or seekers offer a compelling alternative to sins at endgame PVE.
In the end, I feel sad and disappointed at the game and at people that I treated as friends. I miss all the fun I had when I was learning the game and leveling up. I don't miss the obsession, though, or feeling exhausted for playing so many late hours. It seems a large part of the playerbase are people that don't have a job or family.
Have you ever felt that way?

honestly I really dont care how unbalanced the classes are...as long as you got friends with you it never gets boring. I agree it has been going downhill but only reason I stay is because the people I came to know on this game thus its enough fun it provides me to keep on playing.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

For me the worst ever thing in this game is powerlevelling[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I looked at the title and lost the game in 0.3 seconds.Demon_Troll: "takes on the appearance of an innocent archer but turns into a mindless idiot once you hear him speak"

I agreed so much with this. I think people who plvl are just too lazy or whatever to learn how to play their class and to learn how to lvl normally. What is so wrong with normal lvling?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Ikr? I do all my quests before FCing, for the grinding and playing with my skills I'm not a proper old schooler (late 09), but I like what I do.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]<3 by Silvy

I do this too and I only do BH when I am out of quests. ;p[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Hardly no one stops to help anyone anymore, so if you happen to come back, have fun leveling by yourself. Almost all low leveled characters are shuffled through FC to get to 100, so any newbies you see in starter areas or low quest areas (broken bow bridge) are being shuffled along on their cultis by a higher level. If you come back, it's basically FC and be lonely at 100 or do your quests and be lonely at a low level.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Totally agree, I played this game in beta and stopped playing for a year or so to get my grades back up in school, and now that I work full days, its nice to get home and run fc with some friends, or help guildies with quests and every weekend I look forward to a good TW. The game has changed a lot over the years, the only thing that keeps me here is the friends I made and fun I have with them in game.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
