So i logged on to go tw tonite only to be told by guildees not to jfc anymore (i never have). When i asked why they told me that gms had been very busy on our server today popping into fc instances and banning anyone caught doing the glitch. Good news at last lol they are finally enforcing thier own rules.

Well that explains why Lothranis is down... They banned 95% of the server population and closed the server b:victory0
-
Good i soooo hope they come to Lost City server next...ijsb:thanks0
-
The funny thing is a lot of the bans happened to members of the current uber guild on our server. Not gonna name the faction but lets just say they tend to rise ( lol read that as a definition of the name)0

after all this time they are starting to take action? wow... anyways, they better ban all the past users who even attempted the glitch once, otherwise, the glitchers win.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If they're only handing out bans to people they catch in the act from this point on, it's only a half-hearted attempt and they might as well not even bother.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

GM's in servers ? Next time you troll the forums make your lies less obvious.0 -
Wouldn't really be a fair solution.
A new Lvl 101+ instance (like a modified pv) with much better xp per cost while keeping the cap at 105 would be fair to all while being a slap in the face to those who paid much more to get there.0 -

Honestly this isn't a troll that was told to me by someone who's friend(rl one)got banned this way.0 -
Its a nice start.
Now if they'll just go after all the 105s that popped up in the last few months thatll be real justice.0 -

oh yea, "I heard that", "someone said me", "my friends friend said me"... rumors, legends and theories. get back when you have some facts.0 -
I wish they do something on Momagon server too but no GMs and no bans seen and world chat is full of "JFC" or "pizza FC" squad forming messages b:infuriated0

"Screenshots or it didn't happen" right? haha
Either way, if this is really true it's a good start. Though it does make me wonder if it was wise putting up a "warning" for people to see. X'D[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

gm's been popping into those glitch runs randomly since forever now. But they only do it if someone has already been reported. You really think gm's are going to overwork?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
playing Faction Wars Again.0 -
So, basically, they'd be banning people who do it NOW and not people who did it THEN, ie all the 103's to 105's (should I included 102's?). Half-assed :10

I wonder how many seekers and barbs were dodging goons prior to all of this.0

Just out of curiosity, what does "JFC" stand for? Johnny's Fried Chicken?

I could go for some of that... and there haven't been any bans on Lothranis for gooning, and we get everything four hours ahead of you guys... so... b:chuckle0 -
imo, if someone has to jfc in a game which would normally require some effort then maybe games of this type aren't their forte.
Yea i get it, "grinding is a waste of life" .. then let the no-lifes have games, ijs.

So... what does it stand for? I see this acronym all the time and still can't figure out what the j is for.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Yea. Ban for 3 days. Such a big punishmentb:chuckle.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Jail, even though the area the glitch takes place in is the Glacial Cloister. I'm assuming they call it Jail because of the quest you nee to take in order to spawn the boss.0 -

Jail Fried Chicken goes well with Pizza FC if you also remember to buy some beer.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Yeah, like I said in another thread, if they catch you, check your records and see they you spend a good amount of cash, you'll probably get the 3 day slap on the hand to think about your evil ways (and work out a method of getting a squad together with less WC involved).
I bet they don't make an example of anyone until they catch a 'play for free' player in there. Then there'll be a big show of what happens to a player that gets caught glitching.
Its obvious who used the glitch over the last few months. If the GMs had any credibilty most of the accounts that made 105 in that time would be permabanned. Its not that hard to check the records and see who went from 100 to 105 in an unreasonble amount of time then check history of those accounts and see where all the exp came from. Only thing stopping PWI is laziness and greed.0 -

The part that I don't understand is why they don't just declare it legal. That takes total accountability off them for enforcing their rules, and removes fear from players who would participate but don't due to not wanting to risk their accounts, which would bring in more money for PWE.
I understand them not wanting to permaban heavy cashshoppers, I really do. But come on, 3 days suspended and then welcome back to your level 105 character? That's not a punishment, that's at most an annoyance, and one that most people would willingly put up with if they knew at the end they would get to keep their 105.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Your right, they dont want to ban big spenders, should change the name of the game to Greedy World. Spend cash and do what you want, we dont care.
Thats why so many players are looking elsewhere for games to play. Free to Play doesnt mean its free unless you really want to be successful ingame.0 -
I saw a big spender raging that her big spender friend got banned for Gooning in DW the other day. They argued that they should be getting better customer service if they spent thousands of dollars in real life money. I told her that if she stole cookies at walmart, they'd throw her out and it doesn't matter how much money she spent. She replied that it wouldn't be right if the walmart people told her to eat the cookies. I told her no GM in game has ever told people to go goon glitching, and expressly said it would be bannable. She still felt she and her friend should be above the rules. True Story[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
