Question for a GM about the music.

Ok i'm probably not the first to post something about that... but i did a search on the forum i typed music and i didn't found anything.

I would like to know why there is no music in the game anymore.
I mean, you guys put alot of money for the original soundtrack like the song "Fly With Me" by Water & Wood. Or the song perfect world by Henley.

Your Backing track everywhere on the map was georgeous! I'm not joking

i know that the music are slow, but that fit perfectly with the atmosphere of the game and that bring me back memory! Oo

I know that i should probably mute the music of the game and play my own music on windows media player... but that doesn't fit with the atmosphere of the game.

having no music when you play a MMORPG have a major impact about the boredom when you for a couple of month.

I want all those old music back please b:cry

I want to know why we only have a couple of song in the map like the tide island and the earthguard.. is that because the game lag more when there is music evewhere?

but IMO all the principal town like city of plume, city of the lost, Etherblade... deserve to have their original soundtrack.. not just the 30 second song of the character select... that doesnt fit and i dont really like this one anyway.. sorry

    But I'll play along. The reason isn't lag, the reason is that music costs money to produce or buy the rights to.
    PWI is all about the money. Music, or the lack thereof, isn't going to bring in new players or be the reason that people leave. Why would they invest money into it?

    And I don't mean to sound like one of those "PWI is evil incarnate because they're trying to make money!" people, but that's the truth of it. PWI is in the business of making money, and music isn't going to make them money.

    well sorry about the wrong post !

    i had to do verify on the patcher and a couple of music loading now.

    And yeah btw they really have at least 2 song that have been create by real band and artist!

    they don't care and you really get bored of those songs after a couple of days anyways.

    I don't know if you're trolling by saying the music is "gorgeous" but giving you the benefit of the doubt, I would say to verify your files next time you start up the patcher.

    It replaces the music.

    Why the hell is this in here?

    Anyways... there actually was a problem with the music once both the RT and Genesis expansions came out, and I do recall they patched and the problem was fixed (like maybe ridding of it).

    So in those areas I believe thats why.

    But to be honest, the music in this game blows donkey balls. I don't want some ching chong or banjo music while I am PK'ing or spamming TT.

    First day playing the music was alright but after a few days of it you will want to go listen to something else. There are 1 or 2 songs I do enjoy listening to like the tideborn city theme and one other place the name slips my ming atm. I seem to quest better listening to Nightwish anyways.
