Do you use coreconnect?

Theres a **** people use to view all your alt accounts,level,factions on all your accounts. All you do is type the name in. This is kinda invading privacy. They get the information from coreconnect.

    Weren't you the person demanding I re-enable that thing, and then demanding I make you a herb farming bot? It can't identify alts on different accounts, and isn't a ****. It also only knew about your alts if they were in factions.

    I like coreconnect system.

    Where yet I can see that some 105 level characters had leveled from 90 level to 105 during 87-115 days ?

    I have nothing to hide since there is nothing at my Coreconnect page that can't check some player.

    You can try to look for some private information (can you ?) at my coreconnect page.

    Core connect has never worked properly, will never work properly, and even if it DID work, is pointless and stupid.

    How yet you can look what is behind nameless avatar ?

    Or read wizard ultis are useless, for example.

    I can't see who is behind power leveled wIZARD (starting from small char) at above thread without coreconnect.

    I use Core Connect every once in a blue moon, however I think I would probably use it more if the token rewards were better and there were more features.

    Sins are Scissors, Psychics are Rocks, and Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.

    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock ...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE.

    He is well known at playing other classes (known by other players), but some his thoughts about Wizard were wrong.

    I use CoreConnect to stay in touch with factionmembers. Many factions have an apart site like on Shivter.com etcerera but why use it when we have a page on perfectworld.com and a forum? And since we play PWI we are already registered to use CoreConnect.

    About the "privacy" / alts: Who cares? People may know I have different alts in my account. They don't have to search CoreConnect for it, they can ask! If you don't fill in where you live or what tv series you're watching there isn't anything that would harm you. In my opinion CoreConnect is better than guildsites... didn't see any advertising yet. But if it comes it would be the only reason for me to quit CoreConnect.

    I list all my alts in my signature XD Sooo, CoreConnect doesn't bother me. I am proud of my alts. Why would you wanna hide em anyway? And if you DID just make your profile private and tada, problem solved.

    Isn't this like signing up for facebook with all privacies off, then complaining people can see your posts and info?
    Turn it all off in Core and people can't see it.

    its a waste of money and bandwidth, and a stupid gewgaw to make PWI look fancy, but in reality just clutters up further the toolbar.

    I like Core Connect and see no reason for it to be closed just because other people don't like using. If you don't like it, don't use it, it's really as simple as that. You can also hide your alts and it doesn't tell about alts on different accounts. For example, you can't tell on core that I have a level 79 assassin. I don't really care if people know my alts or not, because I don't use my main to troll and whine and generally cause bad feelings for everyone around and then hide behind an alt when I actually play. (Not that i'm saying you do, I don't know you from Adam) :P In fact when I see people I know in WC when i"m on an alt I usually go "Hi! <--VenusArmani btw" so they know exactly who I am. Besides, you can pull all of your alts off core connect and the only time people know you have them is when you join a faction. And you can restrict access to your core page as well. I think I did that when it first noticed core. Even though now that I don't care, I might just unrestrict it, if I can be arsed to play around with the settings again. b:chuckle

    I'm guessing anyone with a bit of knowledge on the matter could stream and relay and organize all char lvls, gear, factions in a server using a centre point to gather info (such as arch). The problem with the hacking is more the users fault, the info they use for their account. Shut down down core connect and a 3rd party site would like open something similar but without a registration.

    CoreConnect has the potential to be something good, it just feels like once more; PWE and it's staff don't really give a **** about it to give it any real use. It would be awesome to see character kills, gear, and stats reflected on individuals profiles.

    PvP kills never really properly worked. When the PvP rankings worked, my Core and Ranking kills were never the same, always off by a few hundred.

    This is just a bit sad. There was so much potential with the CoreConnect system, and it just feels like devs/GM's/whoever in charge just got lazy with it. Forums and Core should be two things that PWE staff should be able to manage on their own without needing China to baby feed them everything. Maybe I'm not being completely fair to the people in charge here though. Maybe they require some sort of server database communicating thingy in order for Core/Rankings to work properly.

    I feel like Core Connect, like many PWE products, was launched with a bang only to be forgotten and briefly remembered when some trivial update needs to be made. I know these are harsh words coming from a mod, but I've always said I'm a community member first.

    Core has a lot of potential, but whenever something is added as a feature it just doesn't feel like enough was done to maximize it, or that not much was done to make sure it works. The search is still lacking, and the guild websites are barely being put to use - it's quite "sad" that players still feel the need to build a guild website on an outside source where PWE could easily add the missing features, as well as allowing admins to lock specific areas from being viewed by non-members.

    With the core client coming out sometime in the future (and currently under beta), there is a lot of improvement that can be done - to both products, to efficiently connect them together for a real sharing experience.

    slow load times, search is useless as it never find player/forum names..

    It's a failed attempt at social networking.

    Instead, they should have focused on making a statistics page that showed you more relevant info, like how much coin you've earned from drops, how many times you've killed certain bosses, how many times you've entered specific instances, and how many times you've completed them. And, of course, kill and death numbers...

    But, no. They're more interested in twitter and facebook integration...

    Core Connect has been pointless from the beginning and has always been severely broken in one way or another...
    I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

    Core client doesn't work. I was pretty excited with it at first, but it doesn't even recognize that you have PWI Installed.

    If you are worried about people accessing your information in core connect, you can make the info private from core connect. the default is all information is public.

    I do not care since the information is never correct in their database. I have never heard of some of the guild names that I supposedly belong to and the awards do not accurately depict what I have done in the game. Like everything PWE does it is poorly executed feature written by some of the worst software engineers the planet has ever known. My nephews could do a better job and they just entered college. Any respectable software engineer like myself will stay far away from any company that accepts the poor quality that PWE accepts. Out reputation is way too valuable to risk it with a lost cause.
