Ok, I have farmed nearly 150 of the shattered crystals on my main and my alt account draggging hiim behind me. My question is did anyone ever find it posted the exact % chance at the forge of making the rings on the different amount of crystals used?

Friend of mine got the ring with only 25, but was he just super lucky or just average?

    If I'm not mistaken it's
    25=8%
    50=18%
    100=39%
    200=80%
    Main:

    25 = 9%
    50 = 19%
    100 = 39%
    200 = 80%

    ^ percentages seem to be most accurate from the PW encyclopedia in-game under the "crafting" tab

    well since i am doing it x2 maybe my best bet is to try the first 1 twice an if fail farm more an try again for a total of 4 8% tries or I wonder if is better to just try just once at the 19%. hmm wonder what the best strategy is to get one since each try is me an my alt too.

    The expected number of Crystals for each way of making it would be:
    25: 277.777
    50: 263.158
    100: 256.410
    200: 250.000

    And from there, the average comes to 261.836.

    So, the cheapest way would be to use the 200 option.

    OK, just to let people know that in my case, I ended up using the 25 crystal option.

    I farmed this using my main and my alt and my wife used her main an alt, so I got a total of four tries, but only had to farm it once.

    I got the ring on the fourth try. I really wish I had gotten two so my wife could have one, but still happy to have atleast one.

    Also this is a good place to have a strong aoe magic class team up with a strong aps character along with a cleric. I'm suprised people dont do this more often, but in most places this game punishes teamwork an rewards soloing.

    Congratulations on the ring b:victory. I had a few questions about the quest.

    I tried it on the BM everything was easy until the 200 mobs, killed 82, before i decided better to do it with friends. The possibility of a healer/cleric, barb, wiz, hf+more, makes this fun.

    The questions are

    1) How long does it take you to complete it?
    2) What kind of a squad is it, class wise?
    3) Never did the boss, but does the aoe kill even with BB?
    4) How long does it take to kill the boss?
    5) Is the final ring that you get tradeable? (most important)

    The nighspike crystals are not, the ring only says it can not be discarded, but doesn't mention non tradeable anywhere.

    Judging from the first 3 steps, it shouldn't take long to do them, the rest we'll see when we get to it.

    1. Took me alittle under an hour to complete it duo.
    2. I am a blademaster and my husband is very op sin. our alts we brought were barb and cleric.
    3. Not sure about bb with last boss we just autoattacked him to death using blood paint for heals.
    4.to be honest the boss really has alot of defense or life or both cause it did take like 5+ mins of autoattack spark cycling and we are both 5.0 +12.
    5. yeah the final ring is tradeable.

    The first part is with the 5 officiers is pretty much cake for a melle. The second part-the catapult part anyone can do. The 200 mob part is one that works best with bb, a puller, and some good aoe damage with hf. The next two parts are also fairly quick and easy. The 30 gaurds can be aoed and tanked with bb and blood paint. The last boss is definitely aps needed. There is plenty of parts where all classes have a spot to shine and you really don't even have to get that much contribuiton as long as someone is there finishing it.

    Thank you for the info b:pleased. It is really helpful. I'll see if others do pq when i do it with my friends. If not i was thinking of doing it a few times on the weekend and have everyone make rings in the end and pool the results to get everyone in the squad their rings :).

    I found the catapult part to be easy with demon stun, fissure and drake :). If i had bp i wouldn't have bothered with aoe.

    None of my friends have OP gear, some are 4~5 aps, others less. 10~15 min isn't too long for that boss if the rest is done quicker :).

    I could go buying packs, but this is more fun option to do. I'll let you know how things go, this is very helpful. Thank you once again.
