Longest relationship started in game? (on HT)

Well, something was brought to my attention yesterday that came to a couple people's minds (since Jes and I are finally doing a wedding on our mains). Who has the longest running uninterrupted in game->RL relationship?
requirements:
1. Only divorces allowed are to switch marriage of one character to another owned by the same person.
2. In game marriage has to be symbolic of a real life relationship and two individuals must have physically met, not just talk in game and on the phone.
3. Relationship has to have started in PWI, not been a pre-existing relationship between people who decided to play the game together and get married after starting.
4. Start date of relationship is counted as first day of first pair of characters marriage.
Ok, so by those rules, I'm at 2 years 1 month 2 weeks married in game with a real life relationship that started in game.
Only interruption in marriage of mains was to switch married couple from the **** marriage of Lypiphera and Disarmonia_X to the marriage of Aneurysmal and Disarmonia_X. At the time of that swap, we still had alts married so there wasn't even an actual interruption in our toons being married.
Anyhow, just wondering if anybody in game has an enduring relationship that started in game and has lasted longer than ours, at the moment, the only longer in game relationships I'm aware of started before they started playing PWI together.

Ok, so, beat us by 6 months. Only about 6 months after the game started.
As for the starting on a female character, didn't know the game had a marriage system when I created lypi back about 2-3 weeks after server started, and I liked suckering guys into giving me free stuff in my previous game. b:chuckleNubispotze - Heavens Tear wrote: »who cares about others real life?

Iono if this counts but i met my irl wife in pw-my (the malaysian server) when it started. We befriended, got to like each other and got married ingame. Things dragged on and we met irl,though we both lived in different countries about 11 hours of flight from each other. We came to PWI after a long break from gaming, coz we were meeting irl getting to know each other, our different countries,traditions and families. We moved here during the tideborn expansion, she wanted to play the new classes, got married ingame asap. Took another break for same reasons and came back last year.
So it i had to count, our ingame marriages in perfect world (both malaysian and international) is over 4 years. Our retired chars on the malaysian servers are still married.
Atm we are living together irl, got married April of this year.
Hope to post before the trolls overtake this thread and ruins it.0 -
My in game wife and I met about 2-2 1/2 years ago.She put up with me through 2 failed in-game marriages.We got married about a year and a half ago to 2 on our mains(gotta ask her for exact dates).I even moved 1200 miles to Virginia where she lives and we are now roommates.mmmmmm tacos mmmmm

I don't think it's fair that you are judging being married in a game with irl... I mean it is a game and you are married virtually so I believe anyone from your server should be allowed to join in. That is just unfair that you have a luxury that some wish they had. But again, not in your sever.
My husband and I have been married in game for 2 years and 3 months and we didn't meet for a very long time. If you are gonna judge people on a virtual marriage then honestly rl should not be involved b:chuckleTY for my shiney new R9 PWE b:chuckle

I wasn't judging anybody in the first place.
It was meant more as a positive thought topic rather than a competition. That there's people who have successful relationships started in game. That PWI as a social media has a positive aspect as well.
As you see from a majority of the actual responses with talk of significant others, it's taken as such, and yes, positive outlook.
The extent RL is involved was referencing PWI as a social medium for beginning real life relationships.Main:

thanks for the thread, i find it interesting. i have heard about many relationships, and friendships that started here and carried over to rl. though i am freakishly private (have only met 1 person irl from game), i see that many are very happy with those they have met here. i hope more people post

Still have to say: the most rewarding thing this game as ever done for me - Was meeting Aneu/Paul, and that's the only thing I can say thank you for to the PW creators/staff. Also: as Aneu said in the 1st post: We're finally doing the In-game ceremony Thursday: 15:30 (inc anyone would like to come, let me know).. As he posted to one of the invite's, he's been milking the cow for 2 years: he just as well seal the deal. -rolls eyes-
Also: This tread wasn't judgmental at all. Was just a over-all question - all of which is interesting.
Also: to any trolls, there's no need to troll. There's other threads to go after, ijs.
