Psys and Nirvana

I'm just curious as my psy is not high enough for these runs and it has time to change before I'm that level but I tend to get mixed messages about Psys being useful or even wanted in Nirvana. The forums tend to say that psy's aren't wanted in Nirvavna but there are caster only runs of Nirvavna so are they still not wanted for caster runs? My best friend plays a psy and is almost always involved in caster Nirvana runs. So is it just a matter of who you know or do psys really have a hard time getting into the runs in spite of their obvious power?

anything non-APS is not wanted in vana, unless its low-aps then cleric+veno. caster vana, ALL CASTERS are wanted, because its caster vana, you know?

reg vana - psy are so lonely

caster vana - if you hit hard you are wanted b:victoryb:victoryb:victory

does it matter who you know? ALWAYS, regardless of class. anything 100+ will depend on who you know and what class they are.

I run between 1 and 6 caster Nirvanas per day, which depends on how many BHs i have stacked for talismans of course. If i don't log on, lets say, until an hour after the daily reset, I'm immediately spammed by 3-5 different people asking me to join the squads they just formed. It has nothing to do with the class but more the level of skill of the player itself. Get good at the class. Get known around the server on the psy. Make friends. You won't have any trouble getting into a squad unless the leader of the squad is asking for weapon link pms to get into said squad. However, people that only take people with r8/r9/highly refined weapons to a caster Nirvana are usually fail and aren't cool to run with anyhow though.b:chuckle

Thanks for clarifying. I thought it was kind of stupid that psys might not be wanted for caster runs. I'll keep the advice in mind.

ive done a few normal nirvana runs, with fac so its all cool, although one time we WC for more peeps, and some left as soon as they saw there was a psy in it.

caster nirvana most ask for wep, but tbh, get known on server or with groups and you will get in np..

point to remeber the key for caster nirvana expires 24H after doing BH, unlike normal nirvana keys which take up space in your bank forever xDb:pleased

    Okay, good to know.

It's kinda sad that people rely so heavily on weapons instead of skill with the class.

    I agree...

I'll go into a squad with a high psy (covertly on another toon) and watch what they do.
Some refuse to empower vigor the tank, diminish vigor the boss (that does not self heal), use soulburn or earth vector on bosses.... red tide.... the kind of stuff that reeks of someone not having read their skills.
That person, regardless of weapon, will not DD as much as someone who knows what they are doing.

Sooo true. Can't count the times I've seen Soulburn and Diminish Vigor used in nirvana. Knowing how to play psy is more important than one's wep in many cases. And imo, we are very useful in caster vana.

    I feel like I'm 5aps when I cast soulburn on bosses. b:dirty

The only boss which is worth to be soulburned is the wolf in fc when it starts to aoe 5 times/second.
