How do I Play this game (get started)

Ok I got the game started and I'm trying to figure out what I want to be. a few things I need to know.

1: Does being male or female have any effect on stats such as male being strong melee and female being stronger magic male having more HP female having more charisma or stamina anything like that?

2: What would be a good solo class/race that can fight and heal itself and be OK on its own but at the same time be useful in party if ever got into one?
this way if I have no one to party with I can still go forward without too much to worry about and go solo.

actually I think that's about it so anyone have any info?

    ok, let's get started:

    1 - The gender doesn't have anything to do with your char stats, you get 5 atribute points everytime you level up and you are free to put them where you want, once you pick up a class I recommend you to read the class guides to know how to "build" your char.

    The only thing you should know is that for the untamed race the classes are gender locked, so if you choose to be a barbarian you get a male toon, and if you choose a venomancer you get a sexy female b:chuckle

    2 - Well, the best solo classes for a beginner should be venomancers or mystics, both classes have a fighter companion, venos can tame mobs and mystics have summons that fight for them with the plus that have good healing spells so are a very versatile class.

    About classes needed in parties, the best choice would be a healer class (cleric or mystic) or a barbarian (good barbarians are always needed ingame and are kinda rare).

    So, if you want a good solo class AND be helpfull/needed in parties you should try mystics for a start, but you can always make others toons to check out what class suit you better and that is what I recommend you to do.

    Hi, and welcome to PW.

    The answer you got above is pritty much accurate, I would only add that the difference of being a female or male character is that female character can be embrace by male characters. This means if you are a female, a male character can carry you around or fly you around ingame, sometimes it can be helpful.
