    Bit better now, Fiery, even if it still doesn't fully pop out... *thinks*
    I think it's because the background's red fades into the black so it looks more or less like a normal-sized background. Maybe some kind of border helps?
    And try using screenshots taken in day light and bright areas (night light images tend to need a little more light in the end).

    By the way, if you'd like you could make some signatures for me as practice. :o

    So since I've nothing really to do I tried visualising what I meant... hope you don't mind that I worked with your signature. D:>

    I just tried to fix the lighting on your character and added a slight border (couldn't do it quite right though as I add to include the character x.x).
    And it looks terrible, sorry...
    Just imagine the border wouldn't be around the lower right part and the character... ^^

    now im jelous jk i tryed making a border befor but bcause of transparency it wouldnt work ill try again and ill make you some sigs 2

    Sure thing! Will work on it asap. Too bad I dont have my usb-stick with me today (I'll render the images here anyway though); neat thing that this library comp has gimp... even if I cannot add brushes/fonts to it.

    You can scratch that 'mostly silvy' as it's not true. >:O

    The dark one of your newest attempts looks really cool; just the background seems a bit too pixelated. Another tip: Use a narrower border (1-3 points) and use it on the background before you add the image. Should make it look even more better I guess.

    And what animation should of the .gif one do? :o

    The font is kinda unique as I used single brushes (runes) for it and altered them a bit. :O
    I could re do it with a real font though if you don't like it.

    Hmm... waving seems to be difficult to animate. o.o
    I didn't get farther than trying a blinking animation... which sucked obviously.
    And making a .gif out of transparent signatures pixelates the results... :<
    *memo to me: learn how to make proper .gif's*

    Round edged signatures have style somehow. But your attempt is so white... and colourful D:<

    About the other signature I made for you; no clue which brushes I used o_o
    Was a variety (I never use just one brush type :O) Will take a look at the sole background later, maybe I remember some of them.
    I'll look for a tutorial with brushes for you as well. ^^

    Now back to finishing DarkMystica's signature.~

    Due to miscalculations on my behalf I had to exclude the quote. I forgot that pop-out signatures don't work with longer quotes; and even if I could of added the quote I should have put it behind the actual renders but I didn't save the name/server writing separately thus it wasn't possible to add the quote to the background. x.x
    If you absolutely don't like it I can rework the signature as standard one.

    Check your PMs. I'll send you the original background of that signature even if I don't usually hand out my WIPs/raws. And here's a nice tutorial (didn't really read it though). The OP of that tutorial... is either a namesake or the same person as on the PW forums. o_o
    (I believe the latter is correct, lol)

    Just take your screenshots in the sun, Fiery. Night seriously never works out unless it's intended b:surrender And editing a night shot to daylight is such a pain it's really not worth it.

    Unless your background somehow goes with it like mine lol It actually looked stupid when I took a daylight shot and tried inserting that xD

    Nice, Fiery! But the border around your character still bothers me. b:surrender
    Don't wrap a border around the semi-finished signature with the background and image fused already.
    Another hint which might be useful: Try to fit in the writing so it 'melts' with the background; for that I'd resize the font as well.

    And making backgrounds with brushes doesn't take that long if you've practice.
    And who said that those backgrounds made with brushes ain't your own? b:sad

    Speccing up night light screenshots isn't that hard to be honest... D:

    Oooh and. There's a good alternative to brushes: stock photos. That's basically images someone who photographed and uploaded for others to use. Either for a small fee or for free. It's a sweet alternative for someone like me, who got no talent for brushes xD
    Just don't confuse it with copyrighted artwork. Cause using that is illegal .-.

    The background of my current one is a stock photo and so is the image in Myralis old sig xD I seriously suck at putting brushes to look cool b:surrender
