So, is anyone else pissed off about the removal of +11 and +12 Orb Sale?

Just curious.
As I have been messaging PWI over and over and have basically been told to go F myself.
They stated they will NOT be reselling those orbs, and I should continue to support the game by participating in their next sale.

WTH?

This is such a damn joke. Maybe I am being a whiner, but I want the oppurtunity to purchase those orbs like others had. Not everyone has hundreds of dollars just sitting around, they need to have all sales up for one week just to give people fair shots at buying things.

I think I am more discouraged and upset by PWI's blatant disregard for their customers and our cares. They really dont seem to give two squirts about what anyone says or thinks.

Just sad how far this game has fallen.

Well, sure im mad. It is utterly unfair that a few got to buy them so cheap but the others did not. I'm also mad if they are going to raise the price of rank 8 and 9. I'm mad that they put 50 gold dragon orbs when so many are +10 who only paid 20 each when they bought 5.
This game has angered me to the point where I think anyone who uses real money in it is pretty obviously making a wrong move and I discourage anyone from doing it.

Not really, they said it was causing problems with client stability, and it made the price of everything shoot way up. Just because a few people caught a one time only sale (and there are a lot of those in this world) doesn't mean you've been cheated in anyway just because you missed it. I've missed plenty of sales in my lifetime, and have bought things that went on sale not a week later. Sure I was irritated, but that's life.

DONT BE FOOLED.............. the only instability the 11-12* orbs was causing was in the longevity of a already SCREWED game.

Why would anyone be mad that it's gone? Now no one has to have their clients crashing on them anymore.

    /sarcasm
How come, if someone asks a question in a forum, at least 13/20 posts answers the question in the same exact way, 5/20 word the exact same answer differently and 2/20 say something completely unrelated to both life and death?

I'm pretty sure it was said that China decided they shouldnt put the orbs in there, thus they were removed. I'm 99% sure PWE would have kept them in boutique if China hadnt opposed..

    This.

If there was client instability, pretty sure we would hear about it from in-game people and forum users at the time.

You lost money because you bought expensive gold? No, you think you lost coins (which, if gained through farming, are free). Coins =/= Money

In reality, look at it like this... many games of this type don't even have an option for selling their cash shop currency; instead, players are able to charge whatever they want for the actual items, due to there being no other way to get them.

Also, for those of you claiming that the client instability reason is a lie... were you there? Did you do the testing? Perhaps something that happened was attributed to the major change, the orbs. Maybe they were wrong, but they (the Chinese devs) did what they thought was necessary. Would you rather they have left them in, only to find out that the instability was caused by a large amount of them being on the market or some anomaly such as that?

In short, unless you have access to PWI's source code, you can't say what will or won't cause instability. Don't assume that you know what's going on, and then make your decisions on truth based on assumptions.

I personally don't really care. +10 is plenty for any PvE 'challenge'. I do feel they should sell them again in the future some time though. Once they have fixed this supposed instability.

+1 to this. I don't care so much for +11/+12 as the Ocean orbs coming back 20 gold per. b:cry

This game is unbalanced already for several reasons. This sale gave a few lucky ones the opportunity to gain advantage over a lot of others who expected the sale to last for the announced time. Assuming the client-crashes were caused by the +11/+12 orbs I am wondering why Ocean Orbs came out for double the usual (sale-) price one week later. For those who were intending to refine with Ocean Orbs for the same price as before this means another obstacle after the missed +11/12 sale.

Yes, the Orb 1,10,11,12 sales are alot like say the rank 8 sale and finally the chip/medal. Probably should never have been there to start, but once released it creates a huge imbalance to take it away.
Essentially if you didn't get to take advantage of these sales you would not be able to compete in the tw arena an would be at a significant disadvantage in many other aspects. Its why if the price is raised or gone, players shoud revolt an boycott, if that don't work they there is always the game coming out soon that half of my faction is leaving for.

LOOOOL @KrittyCat (can't write more about this "comment" because it would be against forum TOC b:shutupb:laugh)

The major fraud was and IS, that they strongly motivated ppl to charge gold with this sale. And some ways of charging gold take 2-3 days. So they charged it - and didn't get anything useful for it. In the NEXT step they INCREASED the +1 orb price x4 (in comparison to sale before - and x2 in comparison to normal sales)!!! And they really expect that we believe them anything... LOOOOL

Removing all toons with r9 and any +11/+12 item would cause more stability in game. THAT would be really true.. When will u take action? b:laughb:laughb:laugh

Throwing out some thoughts. Assuming the game is decently designed and coded...the chances of an item like orbs causing crashes should be highly unlikely. Lets say they coded in C, java or some Object orientated language. The orb in this case would be an indepedent object in the code. As such the object code is largely independent from the game's core logic. Even in the case that it indeed caused a crash, it would not be hard to rectify the bug if it is indeed the orbs that has caused the crash. Since there had already been similar items that has worked like 1star...ocean orbs.....the code for the 11/12 star orbs should be similar to these with maybe one or two attribute difference(probably they have a parent orb class...rest of the orbs are just claases that inherit from this parent) So logicially speaking, the orbs causing crashes is not very convincing.

disagree with last statement, coding is all logic. a experienced or good developer can probably roughly pinpoint a bug and or propose a solution just by analysing the software behavior. I worked with some amazing ones before so i know.
