    @Dimthought, I really like your signature and your name. It's comical b:chuckle

    It's really nice, though it is lacking a lot in terms of composition. Try using Rule of Thirds--offsetting the main subject to the side while focusing on another subject in the background. That way, you'll see a lot more interesting things if you want to show the background too and its much more better to look at than a centered picture.

    Try experimenting with angles--each angle has a personality to it.

    A high angle, presenting the subject as inferior or trying to encompass a variety of subjects around the main subject.

    A low angle, presents the main subject as superior or of high importance in your composition. The same goes with the background subject.

    There are much more angles.

    this was one of the ss i had that i was using the advise of Cocobelles guide it unedited. is that more what your getting at. the previous was more to the thought made me think she was about to kneel before some great being ( sorry was a LOTR moment )b:pleased

    You did an extreme rule-of-thirds. Your subject is too close to the side. Leave some space in the margins for cropping (if it needs to be cropped but having the subject on the far side is getting off the intersecting points of the thirds' rule). SellynZaali did it correctly. Zoom or pan outward if needed.

    b:surrender oh well i was clos. Mind you just cause it dosent follow rules doesnt discount it. I had problems with compistion in school to so b:cry. just must be me. Im more of a science geek (do work in lab). Back to the ledge b:laugh

    If you use photobucket, you can click the image and then it will give you links to share. Click img thumb and copy the code and then just paste it into the forums and voila.
