Hello,

Me and my girlfriend just started to play Perfect World some days ago in a french server but well, we're not french and we didnt know the server was directed for french community, and so we decided to open new characters in other server but we dont know which to decide.

I wanted to learn if theres any recent server that we can start, hoping that server would be more newbie friendly and probably not with some big inflation going on.

Every game we played we always played a duo in our main characters and we don't solo in them.
We started as a seeker-mystic duo (a bit because they start in same city).
It seems nice but, is there better duos to level and farm with?

Thanks in advance for any replys

Seeker-Mystic duo is a nice combo and you can get quite far in the game as a duo without outside help. They are also a lot of fun to play.

However, both are huge Mana and for the Seeker, HP eaters, so unless you plan to spend a lot of time meditating or using charm/pots it may not be the best class combo to farm and make coin with.

Venos tend to be the best coin making class mid-game. You can pair as 2 Venos if you don't mind playing a female char.

If you like PvP I would recommend Lost City, which is HIGHLY competative or Harshlands, which is where all the 2nd rate (lame) PvPers are.
As for PvP Either Sanctuary, Heaven's Tear, Dreamweaver or Archosaur.

As far as inflation goes, all servers are pretty much the same, as goes for "newbie friendlines" it all depends on who you talk too.

I personally play on Lost City, if you decide to join this server (I don't encourage it tbh), I can hit you up with some pointers in-game, just PM Underpowered.

From what I understand, all of the US servers have roughly the same level of inflation, so you should base your choice of server on whichever ones have the lowest ping time (the smallest MS you see listed when you select the server when logging in) and whether it is PvE (Player versus Environment) or PvP (Player versus Player). If the ping times are fairly similar for you, then the time zone the servers are in may be a factor as well.

    The servers are:
Lost City - This is a West Coast PvP server.
Heaven's Tear - This is a West Coast PvE server.
Sanctuary - This is a West Coast PvE server.
Archosaur - This is a West Coast PvE server.
Harshlands - This is an East Coast PvP server.
Dreamweaver - This is an East Coast PvE server.
Raging Tide - This is an East Coast PvE server.
Lothranis - This is a European PvE server (French).
Momaganon - This is a European PvE server (German).

On PvP servers, once you reach level 30 then anyone can attack your character and you can attack anyone else. On PvE servers, players normally can only attack each other if they go into PK (Player Killing) mode, which lasts for 10 hours minimum. (There are still a few areas, such as some rooms in the Cube of Fate, in which PK is always enabled.)

The East Coast servers are on Eastern time (EST or EDT, UTC -5 or -4, respectively), the West Coast servers are on Pacific time (PST or PDT, UTC -8 or -7), and the European servers are on Central European time (CET or CEST, UTC +1 or +2). A lot of events on PWI happen in the evening (8:50 PM - midnight), server time, so if the ping times are about the same you might want to choose based on which time zone works better for you.

Oh, and if you are based in Europe, from what I understand the German server is much more tolerant of English use.

For more information on the servers, see the Servers entry in the PWI wiki.

Well, the classic duo is male barbarian and female cleric. You start out in different areas, but at level 20 (which you can get to quickly enough) you start getting the same quests. The barbs can tank while the cleric buffs, heals, removes debuffs (Purify), and DDs. That duo can get you through most of the game.

You can substitute blademaster, seeker, or assassin for the barbarian, but you'll have to work a bit harder to be a good tank with those classes (better gear, genie aggro skills, and more Vit in your build). Similarly you could replace the cleric with a mystic, but it will be much harder than using a cleric would be (way more MP usage, heals aren't quite as strong, no cleric buffs, no Purify until very high levels), though they are a bit more flexible than clerics (due to their pets and plants).

    Hope that helps!
