48 Hour Auctions?

I just noticed that all of the auctions I put up have a duration of 48 hours, and after checking the stats of other auctions it has the same. Did this just happen or am I late to notice this? O-o

    Maybe a class has a new 2x buff skill you can use on the AH NPC too. Quick, everyone check!

    (to everyone that'll say it's not possible, just point to one thing in PWI that makes sense. Weirder things HAVE happened before)
