restart or carry on?

I'm new to the game. Last night I started a venomancer and selected a wolf as the pet rather than a scorpion.
Notes on this forum say a scorpion is a better damage dealer.
I think the character is about level 6. Should I:
Start over and get a scorpion?
Continue to lvl7 and tame a scorpion?
Continue with wolf and get some other creature?

Getting to level 6 doesn't take long. Getting from 6 to 7 doesn't take long. Do as you please.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The difference is not worth stressing about. The wolf will do just fine.
Do like 99% of most Venos and tame a Glacial Walker when you hit level 19.

LOL! That's what I did ;P0 -
Oh thank you, that answers the next question!
Lvl13 now so 19 isn't far off.
I'm loving this class. I've played a couple of mmprpgs and pet taming class is definitely more interesting than hacking and slashing.0 -
LVL 10 Shadow Ranger (pet name dark Wanderer) is an excellent DD pet and better than the scorpion when using normal attacks (not skills) It has also somewhat better defence. So its a nice alternative for scorpion. A glacial Walker or a wanderer would be a good pet for Caster nirvana (lvl 100 dungeon , its a bit far for u right now lol , but i think its worth mentioning)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
<--- MALE Veno ..... Moved to G W 2 or maybe not completely , don't know ...... PW addiction
{That TT xbow chain is one that describes someone's bowel movements after having too much spicy food. A loud **** (Thundercrack), then a burning sensation (Flash Fire), followed by an explosion of multi-colored poo-confetti (Blinding Radiance). Excellent...} By Quilue0
