What would you guys consider doing in this situation:

Give up a little HP for +5 attack levels or a few hundred hp and skip the attack levels:

    Star, try this: 5aps build, 4pieces r9, and still OP (since you +12 everything, i'll +12 the claw too xD +10 the neck and i imbued 2 garnet lvl 11 cause imo 150m for a lvl12 is waste of money!)

    the build: 50vit for 30k stand with claw (u can reach 37 in tiger with axe), 190 dex +15 from gears (tome and cape) 205, enought to use claw, and 1% more crit, 180+ in str pls, u need dmg to out dd sins and bms +10.

    25k pdef buffed and 6k mag def (a bit low, but good enought for tt boss) go solo a wb ijs b:laugh

    edit (cause i forgot to answer your question =s)
    if u keep the nirvana cape u get 5 atk lvl, but u'll need 2ashuras and only keep 2 pieces of r9 (10 def lvl)

    if u get a energitic cape, u can use only the lionheart bonus, and keep the 4 pieces of r9 (def+10 crit+1 atk+10 )

    resume: keep the nirvana cape = 5atk lvl and only a bit more hp.
    give up and get a energetic = 10atk lvl +1 crit. <-- imo the best choice.

    I'd rather trade some pdef for mdef BloodTyrant. Further, I'd rather trade HP for Mdef. A base mdef of 5K is really the minimum for end-game barb, IMHO. Me personally, I'm aiming for around 7K when my gears are finished. High HP does no good if every attack shreds it. But if every attack is lessened by say...70-85% then all is well with the tiger.

    6.4k buffed, i don't think he'll tw or pk with aps gears ofc... aps helps in pk vs barbs and bms, but is 80% pve, and 6.4 k is good enought to solo emperor, and world bosses.
    with this hp he can easily tank steelation atk rate increase, and armagedon 20k+ hits. so yes thats a good build/gears... buffs are easily to get nowadays, even more when you're in a good faction with helpful players b:cute

    but it's my opinion =)

    If it was just Forest helm vs G15 helm I'd say go with Forest for pvp. G15 is a better helm for DD and pve, especially when accompanied with a second piece of Lunar for the attack levels, but if you were interested in damage you'd have gone aps build so it looks like you are not. The G15 cape and the Forest Helm are better for vit barb in TW or group pk but the G15 helm and cape is better in 1v1 and pve. If you are after the 5 atk levels for damage go aps barb. You'll do something like 600% more dps than your current build.

    Im guessing that you are a cata barb in TW.

    Tbh, a mere 400 HP loss is hardly noticeable when u have 40k HP.

    And on the same note, 5attack level more when you already have 94 is a lil add.


    What matters here is what u want...





    But even then, trading 3k to maximize ur DPS by going 3.33 > 5.0 with claws is also a choice i would stop more that a second to think of. You would do a lot better in PVE/farming while still be able to tank the **** out of everything.

    If I wanted to use claws, or have 5.0 I would roll a bm or a sin. I have all the stuff in my bank to run 5.0 w/+12 claws, but I want a tank. So after seeing some input I feel that it would best to just keep my current helm. Thank you all for your input.

    ok lemme fix my mistake, the nirvana helmet gives you a bit less hp than forest wisdon helm.
    the nirvana cape gives you a bit more hp than the energetic, and gives mag res.

    imo for a bigger tankability, choose the nirvana combo, only a bit less hp, i think don't even reach 1k hp less, for more mag def. something who will gives you more survability would be neck... +12 it.

    Same as what I was giving...only my opinion. I have always built and played my barb for survivability, nevermind it takes me too long to kill anything.

    If I was to play around with my barb's build and had an unlimited budget, it would look more like:

    I guess my best advice to all the amazing barbs out there is: Enjoy your barb and build him to suit your own style of gameplay.
