gear for 7x mystic

so this is honestly my first time using a mage class passed this lvl. i got some ideas on what i might need but i want to MAKE SURE that im making the right decisions in terms of gear and whats best for my CURRENT level. (also gear to farm solo mode TT and stuff)

so first off here are the 2 items i bought. i bought a demon heart ring and necklace of assembled spirits. the necklace is what im most worried about because if i equip it its bound to me and i can never resell it. its a protection necklace (290 Pdef TOTAL, HP +60, and exp+2%). was this the right choice for a mage class like mystic for my lvl? should i equip it without having to worry about it? i havent equiped it yet and i bought it for 900k, so reselling it for like 1mill or something shouldnt be a problem if i made wrong choice. if i did what would be a better option over the necklace?


and what about the ring? the ring i bought for 600k but i can resell if need be. if the ring was a bad choice which ring should i choose over it? (note, i DO NOT have much rep atm. not untill the next rep sale anyway)

what other gear should i get for my level in terms of ornaments and armor? (im working on trying to get wings of cloud charger atm OR matchless wings so i pretty much know what robe i want)

im mainly focusing on Pdef stuff mainly to make my pets less squishy. i already know what gear i want 8x-10x. its just the 7x lvls i mainly have no clue about.

    I would stick to TT70/legendary personally. Demon heart ring is a good choice, but I'm not too sure about that TT70 gold neck. Personally I used a nature's breath and viper's seal around those levels.

    ya i just bought the dark hades leggings and the snow dance robe. im just really worried about equiping that necklace right now.

    edit: thx for the vipers seal suggestion. a guildie sold it to me for 500k just now when i asked about it. hmm i might just wear the necklace tho and say **** it. it was only 900k anyway.

    I honestly wouldn't use the gold neck... I'd sell it and try to get a natures breath.

    I used the lvl 43 legend belt until 80 since i really didnt care much about defenses in my 70s.

    I spent a total of 3 days in my 70s without FF haha.

    But the setup i had for 7x on any mage....

    Rank4 top to the 77 arcane legend
    dark pants of hedes
    flame boots
    fb51 hat
    sleeves of sea capt wrists
    natures breath
    any physical belt i have
    hp cape/TM69
    Two tideborn treasure rings... i have account stash

    This is my normal 7x setup. it normally lasts through 80 too since green is **** and gold isnt always worth it if you stay so little time in 8x.

    npc gear 3* with +hp or +vit/sharded(garnet/cit)/refine. u go through the 70s so fast. and bh 59 are full of mag mobs/boss. that's wut i used for my mystic. i see no point of investing so much when u can be 80 in a week or less(no plvl if u do bh/pv/pq daily). the weap tho just use one of the tts. they're cheap. sleeve of sea captain tho is good till 99 so i'd invest in a 4 socket one with good refine/shard. hand if u want to make the warsoul of heaven ur end game gear get it. it has channeling and good hp with refine.(ps. i have the warsoul of heaven from my cleric its ur first mage class so you dont have to spend so much unless u wanna make ur mystic ur main. just a suggestion)

    but um refining arent expensive i dont mean refining to like +5 or something just use mirages. +2 or +3 is ok with like 4-10 mirages(if you find urself frustrated cos u dont have refining luck just stop lol). its not that expensive and gives more hp so y not?. and im not a fan of wasting coins. so i'd get the tt70 weap that u need to decompose for tt80 weap and so on.


    and u get free mirages if u go tt for ur weap so its win win i guess.

    Well Saki isnt terribly expensive, and I just meant refining 3* gear is pretty worthless :/
    I know it gives hp but id save my coins from mirages I may waste with my luck for 80+ gear b:laugh

    i know i wont be in 7x long NORMALLY. i could have always FFed to 80 if i wanted. but the thing is i am not gonna be lvling much at all cuz i rly need to one farm some coin and 2 i dont really have time for this game cuz im falling to far behind in hw.


    and i can always resell these items once im 8x (with the exception of the necklace). i decided to wear the neclace since the pdef aint all that bad. ya i might regret it later on but it was only 900k so w/e. ill resell the rest of the items i got for higher prices then i bought them for and make a bit of profit. i bout all of the pieices for about 800-900k and sharded some of them.

    again the reason im spending so much is because i actually PLAN on staying in the 7x levels for a good while just chilling and farming stuff.

    Anything that gives you Mag & VIt is good.

    If you like the concept of reduced channeling then that's another bonus to look for. I personally noticed a difference after getting Sleeves of the Sea Captain with -6%, although some claim to notice no difference till after -12%, and I am currently -15%

    Idk about your char, but I get my Phys Def from gear alone, and dont gem any.

    I gem evasion & HP, and evasion is a stat I am also collecting on gear.

    Anything that increases Def lvl is good, like the Attendance Ring. I happen to also have a soft spot in my heart for increased Critical Hit Rate.

    Mana & HP Recovery are nice, and I was recently advised to get some MP Recovery on my own gear, lol.

    My char is an experiment in Defence vs. HP. I have given up at least 400 HP in exchange for 424 Evasion. My phys def is currently 643 and evasion is 1021. When wearing the Verdant Shell buff my phys def is something like 1086 while evasion remains 1021.

    Im not sure Im doing the right thing, but I know for a fact I miss a lot of damage, even AoE. Thing is - with 3886 HP without a barb buff, when a boss like Polearm does score an AoE hit...my stuff is in the wind. (Big thanks to the developers for throwing in that Res Buff, lol).

    Anyway, a lot involved with the choices you make is geared toward what spells you have currently adjusted to using the most, what type of mystic you play, and how you like to play the game in general.

    If your Mystic is for PvP or primarily a healer mystic, what I focus on might not benefit you.

    You MUST gem your weapon with Magic Attack. your weapon is the only place on your whole char you have the ability to do so.

    Evasion is a waste of balls... eva can suck it, your squishy as ****. 88 mystic with 1k p def is squishy.

    Hp and mp recovery are really only good as meditate gear, unless its a good orna like nature's breath, its unpractical and useless when fighting

    You stat a lot of vital, if you have that much hp and you shard half eva.

    8 Immaculate Amber total, rest is citrine (mostly immaculate, a couple flawless I just picked up in a helm), and 1 perfect Sapphire in weapon.

    At 88, Im over 5K HP with a barb buff, not that squishy - considering we wear the equivolent of a T-shirt, lol.

    Ill strip down & let you know exactly, lol...brb...


    39 Vit 52 Str 359 Mag 5 Dex (actual points) so far. I thought I had too much Str, and actually did at early levels - but as it happens I might actually need a couple more points in there later.

    The difference between me and you, is that Your one shot by pole and I'm not.
    That's because of the eva shards. I've never been one shot and I tank up close the entire time to plant for sins and heal for the barb.

    Base my stats are 35 vit 49 str 386 mag 5 dex and I'm only 4 levels above you.

    Lol, I play the same way, usually standing right behind the tank or even in the backside of the barb - unless there is a cleric nearby with a nice BB going. I found at a low level I had I problem with pulling aggro off the tank, and it seemed like the best solution - theory being, if I pull it, it isnt traveling far.

    I'll consider changing the stones eventually. I didnt think 400HP would make or break me, and at the time, the Amber was cheaper by far for my pocket book.

    I recover easy enough when I do get hit, and there have been numerous occasions where I sustained NO damage at all while watching everyone else take it hard. So far, its been interesting and a ton of fun.

    You shard 80 armor with immacs, which I'm guessing you have TT80 gold. It's not just the hp that makes or breaks you, its the p def too. Which I had more than you at lvl 60 lol making me able to tank rankar, yes tank lol. But since your p def is gimped, you need to shard with something that will be a 100% cushion, such as hp if you don't choose to shard garnets.

    I prefer not to follow the herd that leaves me buying citrines only. I dont even understand why the game has so many gems in it - if only a couple of them actually are worth anything.

    Until somewhere around lvl 100 what I do with my char is purely up to me, and I love watching my squad get creamed while sustaining no damage purely because of Evasion.

    I just got a Warsoul of Heaven lvl 13/70 - guy started bidding at 15mil, I was lucky enough to have 16 mil on me so I bid & was even lucky enough to actually win the bid. Its a good Warsoul, but will cost me a fortune to get it to be a great Warsoul, but I cant even get the Scroll on my server for less than 20mil, so, it is what it is & Im happy to have it. 2 sockets +4 right now.

    My weapon is Aquadash lvl 12/85 1 socket +5, I have a couple gold armors's (4 socket +3) - lvl 9 Sleeves of the Sea Captain (bonuses too good to let go yet- speed & channeling) & Dark Pants of Hades (speed).

    My rings are 1 Purple Attendance Ring lvl 9 & 1 gold High Commander's Badge lvl 10 - (I have rank for lvl 90, but after that might let it go. I put a little money into the game, but Im hardly one of those rich players that can afford to spend thousands, in fact some weeks go by often that I can afford to spend nothing.).

    I have Drakeshadow Ammy +3 for the Evasion lvl11, Moonshade Cape gives a nice evasion stat green lvl 10, Demon Slaughter Belt +4 for the opposite of P Def & HP lvl 11.

    My chest & boots right now are Intanglible green lvl 10. I have gold lvl 10 Devil's Cape of Aries, but havent switched up due to the loss of reduced phys damage taken 1% stat, Im not ready to let it go.

    I shop AH for bargain basement prices. I would love to get gear the way the game is designed to get it, but too many greedy people on my server play banker & leave with the bank.

    It is what it is.



    I may come around to the cookie-cutter mystic way of thinking at lvl 100, but for now - Im enjoying what Im doing.

    Lol... they must of sucked total **** and shouldn't be playing the game, even with ZERO defense which polearm debuffs you with your not taking much more than 3k-5k damage. Do not tell me barbs are getting one shot lol.

    And to your gem thing, why does the game have more than one class in it when assassins can solo everything? /sarcasm.

    Caster Nirvana is a joke lol. But 5 mystics 1 cleric is one of the best set ups youll get.

    I wouldn't say 'won' actually...I mean you dont see me QQing at all do you, or running right off to buy up every citrine I can find? I honestly didnt realize we were having a contest, lol.

    Brillance is my first lvled char in this game. The char Im posting on is a cleric I made after leaving another game I was also an AoE Healer in. I wasnt having fun, and left PWI after getting my cleric to a whopping lvl 5.

    I desided to try it again, and my husband suggested a Mystic. The char fit like a glove - it was almost like someone combined the AoE healer with my hunter in that other game.

    I cant imagine any *thinking* person creating a Mystic & hating it, & I believe this will stay my favorite char no matter how many others I make.

    Anyway, point being I am truely a newb in PWI - having only my barb husband who came before me to give me tips.

    Factions? Been in several - so far they do nothing but want to sell me Heads & TM69 for the same price any other idiot on the server would. On one of the ripped off TT runs I went on, the banker/theif was actually a 101 cleric & ranked officer in my fac?

    At lvl 90 I plan to apply to an old & respected non-r9 requiring TW faction on my server. I hope at that level the BS might get a little thinner.

    I am listening to what you and everyone else says, taking a look at my server & my personal economic situation & making my choices from there.

    For a newb - I think you have proved I am mostly on the right track, but time will tell. b:victory
