Can I switch servers?

Once you select a server, do you have to stick with it forever, or can you hop between servers with a single character?

I'm curious because I was planning on playing the game with a friend, but he didn't tell me which server he was on and he's not online right now.

you can create characters on every server and switch between the servers, but you can't transfer a char from one server to another.

When in the login screen click on switch button next to the server name, then pick a server and click select. After that just login in and make your avatar.

yeah its pretty lame you cant switch chars to differnent servers , freakin cheap PWI
heck Blizzard (aka) WoW at least let you do it im pretty sure they charge a little fee
