Which Genie is good to use to do this? And which skills should I get?

    PVE or PVP?

    Personally I like Leaf Dance and Frenzy on my DD genies. I also use Cloud Eruption for fast Chi. There are a lot of other skills though depending on your play style.

    +1. You may also want Thunderstorm (think it gives knockback)

    Maybe also extreme poison for some stackable wood damage

    and Bramble Rage for AOE wood damage

    I don't mean buffs and stuff. Ranged attacks.

    I... ran into a situation where I really could have used some ranged skills. Being a barb, I had none.

    Hmm, I recomend having a Zeal genie so you can use their Earthflame skill to lure mobs that are far away. The Earthquake skill has a very useful knockback. And Lightning Chaser has been pretty useful too.
