    Blah Blah Blah, bunch of do-gooders trying to defend national/religeous dignity.

    And the difference I see between WWII & 9/11;

    WWII - hundreds of thousands dying over an insane german withh power.

    9/11 - Terrorists killing about 3000 yanks. Worse happens in 3rd world countries every year, like 10,000 children under 10yrs old starving to death. Dignify that you bunch of hippies.

    No ones made jokes about starving children. You however, made a holocaust joke, those kinds of jokes.cross lines, but you probably didn't know that living in your mom's basement.

    I don't find the genocide in Rwanda, 9/11, Pearl Harbor nor the holocaust funny. I consider them all national tragedies. If that makes me a hippy, than woohoo flower power.

    Also to give you an idea of how uncommon lolocaust is, searching it only returned less than 200k results on Google. Searching 4chan almost 14 million results. Rofl returned 68 million results. Even rofl copter held up better with over 1.5million results. Proving that it may have started on 4chan, and thus enjoyed some degree of popularity there, but it is by no means common or widespread.

    Well judging from your remark about living in a basement, I'd assume you're no older then 16, either still at school or going nowhere in your life. Stereotyping only makes you look less intelligent then your intended target. Nothing more.

    Ninja, you just don't have common sense to go with your sense of humor. The holocaust was a terrible event. You have to know when and how to make a joke with things like that in order to be funny without insulting anyone. Anything can be made to be funny, but you still need to be sensitive to others and know when, where, and how to make a joke over something like that.

    Besides that, remember that because you are on the internet saying this, you will look more like an antisemitic saying something like that. You need to consider the audience before you make a joke if you expect to make it funny.

    I'm 22 and almost have my masters, but as for stereotyping, where did I do it? I simply said that just because you read it on the internet doesn't make it true. I think tasteless jokes about tragedies make you look less intelligent than you are trying to portray, and defending said joke makes it even worse on your part.

    This "audience" isn't even skeptic, everyone is biased & WANT to think I'm trying to be insulting... I used a reference, but not a reference at the Holocaust, just a blank term for something funny. But people always take things WAYYYYYYy out of context.

    So you're not only insensitive, but your a thoughtless troll too? Good to know. IF it was unintentional, you shouldn't make a thread personally attacking her because she didn't find it funny as a person of Jewish descent. It's obvious to anyone with eyes why someone who isn't familiar with 4chan may take it that way, regardless if the way a small number of purposefully offensive people take it over on that website. By they way, that term is also purposefully offensive. People who aren't trolling would realize why people take it that way (and whether you think it's intentional of not, that word by it's very definition is meant to be offensive.) and just back off instead of calling everyone else more names.

    I'd like to clear something up;

    1. I have not been online for the past 7 hours or so, hence I could not and have not seen any posts regarding the holocaust.

    2. While I am Jewish at birth, I am not easily offended by petty remarks made towards a sad event in history.

    3. Ridiculing the holocaust and discussing/calling someone **** is and always have been deemed as inappropriate on the forums, long before I joined as a moderator.
