I just re-installed PWI. The patcher was at version 515, so I manually updated all the way to 560, ran a verification, all complete.

When I hit start, or try to open Ele client I get an X message with a bunch of gibberish characters and it closes out.

wtf

Your DirectX isn't working. Try doing a clean install of your video drivers. If you would post your system specs I can give you instructions on how to do that.

For SASSYCC, that's really strange, I haven't encountered that yet. Is everything in chinese? just the server selection? (the latter I have a fix for)

My drivers are Apple drivers, I just re-installed Windows 7 on my machine and then brought in Drivers from my OSX disk. What you're saying makes sense....should I try getting DirectX online and installing it?

just to clarify, this has ran perfectly on this machine in this exact configuration for over a year now. so it's just a matter of getting it set up correctly

ok, are you running Win7 in Virtual mode? With the OS-X as the main? or are you running a dual-boot system?

It's a dual boot system, so for all intents and purposes I'm running a PC right now. What info regarding my drivers/system do you need specifically, where can I find that information, and how can I update/reinstall what is needed?

basically, what video card do you have?

Like for Nvidia, Download the latest driver file, run it as administrator, then choose advance settings and then choose clean install.

hey thanks man, here's what I did. I went to the OSX install disk (which is where you get the drivers from after installing Windows), found the NVidia drivers, and reinstalled the 64 bit version, and restarted. Now element client works. Thanks so much for you help man!
