Is there a way around this?

Im trying to do the cultivation quest with my veno and i have a big problem with ranged mobs in the dungeon.
They always run into the terrain where my pet cant follow and i cant target, yet they cast happily.
I tried running away from that spot but they follow while staying IN the terrain, almost impossible to play like this.
Was wondering if there was a way around this, i doubt the devs will fix this bug anytime soon.

Stick your pet on manual, tell it to follow you.

The pet will come down, the mob will follow it - send the pet back in.
Repeat a few times, if needed, until the mob stops running (or runs somewhere that isn't a wall)
Ranged mobs usually run three times before stopping - but stunning them will cause them to run again, so ease off on the lucky scarab.

I'm curious about which cultivation that is. I've never had an issue

Odd, my pet tends to follow mobs thru terrain, even up instance cliffs (i hate when mobs in disaster decide to play spiderman), and if my pet has aggro i can usually pull the mob back down by doing a stow (and hope the tank is on the ball and catches it before it wipes the floor with my face)
Next time your pet gets 'stuck' anywhere, just stow and bring it back out quick-times, it'll come back right beside you, and the mob will likely be running right for you, i'd also suggest you put your pets on hotkeys to bring them out and put them away faster then clicking, this also leaves the mouse free for targeting as soon as you see the mob, and if your pet has a decent range to it, you can target and alt-1 to attack before it even hits you, which is good, especially for us squishies b:laugh

Thank you for the answers. I was doing pretty much what you guys said but i guess those 3 mob groups are still a bit too tough for me, because the hectic and delay caused by trying to deal with the runaway mob gets my pet killed sometimes. I'll go level some more :P.
    Thanks again.
