kk so im a tanker seeker, and i tank a lot of bosses for friends/bh's and i capped my vit at 50, my friend was talking to me about her build and she said she capped at 20, but she's a str build... should i reset some points? or is that just the difference from tank and strength...?b:surrender

Either will do fine I gues ^^ While your friend will have higher damage, you will have more survivability and will be easier to heal on bosses.
I personally got a lot of vit, which I will most likely reset later when I hit endgame to str.
I personally love my vit. Thanks to it I've survived quite some times and have been able to keep per example rankar from resetting by running around with it for about 10 minutes.
Managed to kill feng in 2-1 when he had about 14k hp left and the tank died(and srsly, I hit like **** on TTbosses and they hit hard so scary enough ._.)
I don't know if I'll be able to tank pole with TT80 gear, but we'll see about that.
Either way, that vit saved my *** quite some times. If you feel fine with your vit as it is now, keep it. You can always restat later.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

you should know that OP is new on these things.
imo you are putting those just to get looked cool
you are a 7x seeker,so shutup0 -
Ty both for commenting, my 4 days on pwi... Very confusing, half of first post confused me as I'm only 54 so if you could use some niibie terms plz? ^^ I'm just gonna get interm. And reset half of the vit into str since I have flawless citrines x4 in all my gear0

anyways if you prefer to do tanks as a seeker,
i suggest putting more on VIT,or more STR(also increases def a bit)?
best way is to put like 50~ VIT at your level
and imbue STR garnet shards if you have extra sockets on your armor
that should keep the balance between STR and VIT.
hope that helpsb:victoryLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak0 -

same here,i did a high vit build.
my vit was like 85 when im a lv80 and that also happens when i was killing diabolic shocktrooper,my squad's tank died, followed by psy,BM died, cleric died for multiple times and still trying to get back and res us,the only 2 left are me and sin.
since sin still hasn't got demon spark yet, that boss keeps freaking aggro on me and i was uncharmed, good thing that i could survive with that amount of HP,compared to when i was a low level,i put too much on str and dexLight travels faster than sound. I would agree with Hazumi and a couple others here,
I have my vit rather high and might not do as much damage as others, but I'll tell you what, even if you can do 30x the damage I do, it ain't gonna help you if you are lying in a pool of your own blood. There are a lot of people that go with formulas on their stat builds, but my friend has gone purely with gut feel. If he dies a little quicker than he likes, he pumps a little more vit, if he does less damage than ideal, more str, and so on. I have followed the same thought on my seeker, and it works well for me. Just go with what you feel is best for yourself. You could always restat later if it all goes pear shaped.
And kelo, seriously, stop being an ***. Hazumi was giving examples and stating her/his opinion (sorry, but in this game one never knows), I would have done the same. Also you are assuming that OP is new to the game. By the fact that OP said they have vit capped at 50, I am going to ASSUME that they are not lvl 10, so I would guess that they know Rankar and TT2-1 are bosses and instances that should be taken note of.Time flies like an arrow. I personally like having a high Vit build too on my Seeker. I'm keeping to a 5 3 2 STR,Dex,Vit ratio and have vit up to about 70+. HP is ~3800 unbuffed at level 67. I put HP shards everywhere I could. Add a Barb HP buff and I'm near 5K HP at level 67!
There are some problems with this build - mainly you can't keep aggro if you have high damage DDs in your squad. The way I get around this is to use Vortex and when necessary Alpha Male (genie skill).
I have tanked Rankar easily with BP and a HP/MP charm and 60's healer. I also kept the squad from wiping on one of the BH59 bosses when the Cleric ran out of MP pots (*facepalm*)and both of the TWO 70+ Barbs died! Vortex+BP + HP Charm is godly on a high vit Seeker.
I'm not boasting, I just don't like dying and so many random BH squads now have *fail* power-leveled members that it helps to have a little more survivability. So I guess it is a +1 vote from me for higher Vit builds if you like tanking and not dying.0 -
@ OP
and also
at first i didn't know you were aiming for a high vit.
i got citrine shards on my seeker and vit over 100.
im liking vit since it can keep you alive for longer when doing bosses, better than rushing everything on damage
guess it's a wise choice to go high vit build.Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak0 -

1. actually I can't know if the OP is new on "these things" or not. The OP doesn't have an avatar so I don't know his current lvl, or if he has a higher lvld main or not ^^
Also I'm not trying to look cool. I'm just pointing out what you probably can't do without that vit P:
And.. that last thing, wtf was that for o.o ? You don't even show your avatar/lvl Oo;

I just tanked Rankar and Wyvern this morning with my high Vit lvl 68 Seeker and a level 62 Cleric.
I was HP and MP charmed and had Bloodpaint but even so it was a huge rush to succeed at such a low level when I have seen much higher levels die on Wyvern. A big plus for high Vit Seekers. b:victory0 -
barbs are rare these days.
sometimes i even see squads with BM/Seeker as tanker.
seems like we have to replace barbs now

I don't blame the Barbs. Most of the old races with the exception of Clerics and BMs are in low demand at endgame (and are much more tedious to level, I know I tried) so few bother to do so. My Herc/Nix Veno is in storage.
Anyway, why is it that there is only one real Tank class? When Seekers were first announced, it sounded like they were going to be an alternate Tank, being able to pull Catapults in TW and all. Then they basically made it a modified BM without APS or HP buff.
This game needs a serious makeover of the old races.0 -
@Hildie: You an probably already tank it at lower lvl with a good cleric depending on your gear ^^ With flawless sharded and +2 rank armor for lvl 60 I could tank wyvern at lvl 61 given I had a good cleric
It's always awesome when you manage to tank a boss for the first time ^^ Did an fb69 yesterday with me as tank... <scared of pole x'D > We had my hubby on cleric healing(lvl 100 and demon IH ) and we managed. I don't know if I would dare to do so again with a cleric of my lvl though .__."[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Yes it is really great to tank a hard boss the first time. Did Wyvern again this time with a lvl 75 Mystic. A good healer makes a huge difference. I was surprised that even without purify the Mystic didn't even break a sweat in keeping me at full health.
Gratz on tanking Pole. I remember forming a squad on my Veno for Pole and since we couldn't find a Barb we used a Seeker as the tank and it went just fine. In fact I was so impressed by this and another Seeker on bosses in Eden and Brim that I decided to make a seeker and have mostly abandoned my Veno. (on a side note I did a different one in a squad with a fail Seeker and the squad wiped on Pole).0 -
I was originally base 55 vit until I restatted; now I'm 5 vit and I don't regret it. With the things I do normally, I am damn hard to kill.
@OP: Personally, capping vit at 50 is just perfect. Be sure to cap your dex at 160 so you can wield every sword as well as have that extra crit %
PROTIP: We're not Barbs. If we were, we'd at least have a decent threat skill (Vortex does NOT count)0 -
FYI, with the Reset sale, I decided to see what would happen if I moved most of my Vit points to STR. I moved about 35 Vit points to STR. I'm now about 25 base Vit (35 with equipment). Before I was 60 base (around 70 with equip.)
I can tell you it was a horrible experience at my level (69). I expected to see a big increase in damage but it was not that noticeable and my survivability went way way down. Whereas I could easily Tank Rankar before solo (if necessary with HP Charm), I ended up dying when the Mystic stopped healing me to help the Sin and others who kept getting in the way of the AOE.
So unless you are always squading with good players, go Vit build if you don't want to die.0 -

Correct. Under 100 i have been adding vit. First off i started vit build till around 70, then i realised that is too much. But then i made the mistake capping vit down to like 5 or 20. What happened was i was squishy. So i though cool lets try out the 5str and 5dex. Sadly that was even worse, although critical were cool it wasnt quite enough and pretty much weak as vit build. So i decided i wanted str but i wanted some hp too and i couldnt afford to shard heavily, besides i feel its a waste to refine like +3 or more on non end game gear especially if you are going down the rank route. Maybe for tt its fine.
Anyways back to what i am saying i decided to cap vit at 50 because that gives average hp and not too much. Then capped dex at 160 because i only need enough dex to wield everything then put everything into str. I may not have the hp of the seekers that went 50+ vit but hell i will hit harder but at the same time the str seekers will hit harder then me. . My plan is to get refine and shard and when i get around like 7k or 8k unbuffed as calculated from gear alone i will reset my vit down to 5 because for me 7k at least or more is enough for me. Also i have used bm before and that had 5 vit and was even lower and i was fine although i didn't have to do what seeker does but i am naturally not a tanker. I like str alot too and feel better as full str hp doesn't concern me too much but 50vit is okay and safe me.
So my final point unless you have really op gear at the beginning and vit stones add some vit about 50 minium or more (if you like tanking), then when you get to 100 and have enough hp, if you want to go full str then reset the 50vit into str, 1 reset stone easy as that.
Ps. I cant wait to go full str, want to be a battle mage.b:pleasedb:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Well as 4 me, my vit was capped at 51 but my gear gives my an additional of +12 vit
its strange how some seekers vit is capped at 50 but still kind of have difficulties,am a lvl 67 and when i go pk am able to kill lvl 80 pluses strangely,
i get rank 6 players running away from me and because of my defense lvl buff some people do poor damage on me. Anyway if ur gonna cap ur vit at 50 just remember how seekers can reduce attack and defense lvl. upgrade ur top priority skills as well. b:victoryb:victory
b:chuckle
however since my vit is 63 because of my gear ive switched to the strength and dex build for standard DD
so yeahh keeping ur vit at 50 is good XD XD0 -
im new to the server ive been playing 4 days. i am a level 25 seeker. and i want vit, str, and dex. at my level i have 35 vit, 52 str, and 33 dex. i want to tank when i'm a higher level. so should i just leave hp for now? raise dex and strength til level 45? then start raising str, and vit?0

I'm new either on playing as a seeker. but I prefer build my damage for this char0

Priority should be Str then enough Dex to wear the Weapons/Armor you want. (check the Blacksmith and Tailor to see what the requirements of the next set is)
Then whatever is left over you can put into Vit or Str. As you level up put more into Vit if you feel too squishy, put more into Str if you feel you are surviving ok and want more damage.
Note: that your playing experience can be changed quite a bit by good equipment and high level Cleric buffs, and/or a Barb HP+ buff. So don't base your experience on a great run with a level 80+ Cleric buff, but with only self buffs.0
