GM info on accounts#

Hi I had a question about multiple accounts i wanted cleared up.

I play pw and my wife does to. we both have an account play on seperate computers.
if i get a 2nd account for myself will this be a problem? since i think my account now and wifes might have same ip due to being on same router?

i just do not want to end up getting her account and mine banned.

I do not mess with my wifes account or i would jsut use hers... but she gets cranky about it lol.
so i would love my own second account for catshopping extra characters.
any info on this would be greatly appreciated. TY <3 pwi

    you can have 2 accounts on an ip online at most,regardless how many computer you have

    i know in this game ALOT of people that share accounts. PWI doesnt enforce sharing account policy. Nobody gets banned, unless somebody reports you. So keep account sharing to the only people you trust.

And no you will not get banned for this. Me and my fiance use the same ip and have catshops up while playing and we havent been banned.

    Submit a ticket to Customer Support, and they'll discuss with you what needs to be done. Certain exceptions are made in the case of families using the same router, but I believe they require some sort of a process before those exceptions are allowed.

    Huh...

    There are colleges and such where people play. It would appear to PWE that dozens, possibly more, people were connecting from the same IP.

    Some ISP's even have a common gateway.

    If PWE was really tracking IP's and accounts like this, they would be crapping bricks over accounts getting banned/locked constantly over this...

    Actualy I don't think so... Franky clearly stated back then that it's 2 accounts each person online at most... And so far I haven't heard of ppl getting banned over it... Just make sure that you alt has about the same info as you main (name, birthdate, etc)... And I'm pretty sure that also the character names of you and your wife don't verry much look the same so... If you're being suspected for abusing the multi-rule I guess this would be what the GM's will look at... I play with my mom in the same house on the same router and on occasion we have 2 characters online each to help our lowers characters (when our fossil pc's allow it)... So far didn't had any trouble so...

    that IP would track back to (for instance) hammond.k12.in.us or hammond.lib.in.us (yes, that's local for me. no, I don't care if people know that) it would be VERY clear it's a school/library (or other public place)
