Is anyone experiencing problems with x2?

When I logged on today, and went to farm.I noticed i wasnt getting x2 xp or drops.The anniversary page says it lasts 24 days.Was that a typo,or do i need to file a ticket?Anyone else experiencing this?

In terms of drops, 2x does not mean that the drops will literally double, what it means is is that the drop rate % has been recalculated and that rate is "doubled".
Even on 2x you can farm and get nothing.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Actually, no.
When it comes to drops, every mob has 3 things:
1. Amount of times server counts for drops
2. Amount of items per drop
3. Items dropped
Out of these, there is only one that can really be doubled. For example, doubling amount of item probabilities would result in no change with TT bosses and Nirvana Bosses, as they have a fixed amount of drops each time you kill them. 100% chance to get 3 items is still the same as 200% chance to get 3 items.
The items dropped is obviously not doubled, as there are mobs that have over 50% chance of dropping something. Doubling these would mean that we'd have mobs that have guaranteed drops. For example, Vanished Ancestor has a 60% chance for an Uncanny. Double that and you'd be claiming that he always drops an Uncanny. Which would mean that during 2x, you get one Uncanny and one other drop. Also, it'd mean that other Nirvana bosses wouldn't be affected, as they all have a 100% chance to drop their respective chest.
However, what IS doubled is the amount of counts. What that does, is it means that bosses that have a fixed amount of drops, such as Nirvana and TT bosses, get an actual twice amount the drops, which is easy to confirm as the bosses in Nirvana always drop a single chest. What that does for normal mobs is it allows you to have at most double the quantity of drops. However, since mobs have a wide variety of items they drop, you won't just be looking at getting twice the usual amount of DQs.
There's also the issue of complexity. You can easily double the amount of counts, as it's just a simple multiplication by 2. For drops, however, mobs have highly varying probabilities to drop 0-3 items. Doubling those would not only mean much more complexity as you'd have to scale the amount of drops to 0-6 drops instead. Which is what you'd have to do as mobs will be dropping more than 3 items. And that theory in itself is discredited by several bosses who have a fixed amount of drops they get.I am Olba. there used to be a website with the loot table what mobs dropped what and its chances. if its still active i have forgotten the url times that by 2 and you will have the current loot table.
some mobs also have the multi drop same item more then once other items etc that's also 2x the chance of that happening.0 -
Im not so worried about the drops.Im not getting x2 XP.The mobs i was killing yesterday were giving 880-1790xp.Today those same mobs are only giving 440-890.0

Did u use hyper exp stones ?
If yeah, you have to calculate differently. If you used x 8 for exemple : During 2x it adds to x10 experience per mob. BUT , when they are in cooldown, u gain 95% LESS exp/spirit but THEN it's affected by the 2x, making u gain just about 50% of what you should get.
Also, if you leveled a lot 9using whatever means), the bigger the level gap between you and mobs, the less exp they will give. Drop rate will also be affected if u end up beeing more then 3 levels (I think) over the mobs u are farming.
As people said, 2x doesnt automaticly make sure every single mob will drop a lot of stuff. Just means that if they DO drop something, it might be doubled.

Thanks.Thats probably the problem.I had 38 minutes left on hypers when I logged back on.With hypers paused was still only getting half of what i should have been.Anyway i depleted my hypers, and will see if everything is as it should be after cooldown.0

I also am not getting 2x XP, or 2x drops. I just tested it again by grinding a bunch of the spiders, and its only giving me x1 (the normal amount) of my drops. I've tried relogging, but that hasn't worked. If this issue can be resolved, I'd really appreciate it."Male Player using female toon. Please don't flirt with me."

I'm not getting any 2x either everyone is saying its on but I know my exp rates and what I'm getting ain't nowhere close to 2x and I haven't used hyper in so long it ain't even funny. No double drops no double exp and no double spirit. Its not just this account either its my other account too.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Given I'm doing Nirvana and 2 boxes drop each non-special boss that drops chests (99 key boss drops 4 raps), and every time I kill a card boss it drops double the mats, I'd say 2x is working perfectly fine. As far as grinding goes people can expect variability, but there is no doubt 2x is turned on.. for everyone.0

I confirm 2x drops in on.
I never made so much dragon quest items at the mobs I grind. 165k profit per 30 mins (calculated from my Aura Golden buff) is a great sign of that. Some mobs I kill even drop me 3 DQ items if a tad lucky. So yeah, it works.
2x exp also works well, so does 2x spirit. What I use to kill alone, gives me exact same exp with my wife same level as me in squad (should be divided by 2).
So not sure where all those complaints of 2x not working comes from, but I also went Nirvana and after 2 runs, after trading Raptures for uncannies, everyone got 4 + some cash left over.
Bosses I kill also in TT are also proof enough to me. 1st boss of 2-2 gave me 4 frenzy lion claw (or skins, not sure, always mix the 2 up) with 2 fairy boxes and a crusade order..Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle0 -
Why do people think 2x drops isn't working for only them?
It's like pwi switched a switch that makes all mobs drop better. It's not like they flipped thousands of switches for each individual player and happened to miss yours...0 -

I tested it at same server.
2x Exp/Spirit/Drops for all mobs and bosses.
Starting from Assault on Archosaur event when I got 2 millions coins and 12k DQ points.

Yup...mine works.I just think its starnge that you get normal xp with hypers paused.After i depleted hypers, and went through exaustion x2 kicked back in.Anyway sorry for the trouble.Looks like i got something started.I was just totally baffled.It never crossed my mind that hypers had something to do with it.0

Because silly Pressa has played this game for 3 years I have seen almost every x2 and I know what exp mobs give when they are doubled, eso, and hyper and these are just normal exp thank you very much. Unless by some stupid instance they decreased the exp mobs give by half while I was gone then I am not getting x2 drops or otherwise. And no they didn't flip switches its one thing but bugs can happen.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I'm not getting 2x experience on some mobs.(of course same levels) Kinda strange. Another kind of mobs are fine but others not. Need to watch it closely. And confirm, if I'm right.b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

And no, you don't simply "x2 the loot table", and it doesn't increase the chance of them dropping stuff. Basically the odds of the mob dropping something haven't changed, it's only the amount that they drop when they do drop something that has changed.
How true.
It's really easy to reason out exactly what "2x Drops" means for this game if you know a few unchanging bosses. For example, Nirvana bosses have both a 100% chance to drop a chest and a 100% chance to drop exactly 1 item. Doubling either of these wouldn't do anything, as probabilities are maxed at 100%, or "always happens". So, the only variable left that could be changed is the "How many times does the server count for drops" variable. Doubling that, on a TT boss or Nirvana Boss, which have a 100% chance to drop a specific amount of items, will result in exactly double the quantity of drops, some of which can be coins.
There's also the fact that for normal mobs and non-TT/Nirvana bosses, the chances to drop 0-3 items isn't fixed. Exactly what would "2x 78% chance to drop 0 items" even mean?
And if you started fiddling with the drop table, you'd run into issues with certain mobs having a strange phenomena of having a 100% chance to drop a DQ but still having a possibility of dropping 0 items, which are mutually exclusive phenomena.
Due to the nature of the "2x Drops", you actually get different meanings for different mobs:
1. For Nirvana Bosses, it is literally "twice the drops"
2. For TT Bosses, it's "twice the quantity of drops"
3. For others, it's "Up to twice the quantity of items" or "Up to 6 items per kill"
At first, 2. and 1. might look like the same thing, but they're not, as TT bosses can still drop coins and don't have a 100% chance to drop a specific item. That difference is why you can't go into a TT during 2x and expect to see actually getting guaranteed gold mats or twice the "usual" amount of green mats. To all these that claim they dont get double xp: could it be that you have exhaustion time on your hypers? Cuz i just discovered smt while grinding with my husband:
Lets say a mob gives normally 100xp. With double xp and hyper exhaustion you get 10% of that 100xp, but the double xp adds 100xp; so it adds 100% of the original xp not the exhaustion time xp. So with double xp and exhaustion time you get 110xp of a mob that has originally 100xp.
Hope that helps a bit...
