im quite new to this game. and i just wanna have your suggestions and opinions. im choosing between Archer, Psychic and Cleric for my main character. im just starting playing the game.

here are my opinions:
i hate archers cause i dont wanna kite. i love archer cause of their crits
( some said they are not that costly to be overpowered.)

i hate psy cause they are too squishy. i love psy cause of soulforce skills and fast channeling and high damage dealing skills
( three of my friend says that an r9 psy is the king of pk and pvp. but does r9 cost
a lot?)

i hate cleric cause i dont wanna heal too much. i love cleric cause they can solo a a lot ( for my opinion) and the most wanted in a squad.. and SMOKIN HOT.
( i like the fact that they both have physical and magic attacks and their buffs are pretty awesome)

now, which among 3 is your best bet? i would consider the performance of each class in TW and instances performances.. i also like a class that would not cost too much but can be observably strong in TW and squad grinding.

i cant accept an answer to make them all or make a wiz or other classes. please i really really need your help..

please dont be rude to me as i said, im new to this game.. all answers will be very much appreciated.. b:pleasedb:pleased

archers eventually stop having to kite. once you're past level 30-something, maybe into level 40-50 or so, you'll have enough (1) range (2) slow-down skills and (3) good enough knockback, that the mob'll be dead before it reaches you.

psys are squishy, but much like wizards, this only matters if you take hits. my neglected 20-something psy does MUCH better than my wizard did in that level range, because of the early and powerful knockback skill. few things touch you when you're playing psy.

rank 9 costs, IIRC, $1500-$2000. not sure of the exact sum because i'll never spend that much in game anyway, so i don't much care.

you want both physical and magical attacks, want to be able to solo a lot, like looking at fancy graphics, but you don't wanna be a healer? roll a seeker.

Archers are broken because they don't even end up using a bow as main weapon end-game.

Clerics are always needed and are cheapest because you would do really great healing with just R8

I say go for a mystic, they have some heals and are good support but also do good damage with quick casting spells and nice pets. Ress buff is also good. I think an R8 Mystic would be very powerful (mine is only lvl 72).

Btw, R8 on sale will run you about $75-$80 bucks.

"Fancy graphics" and veno does not compute.

yeah, pretty much. i like fox form playing, but let's face it, venos have maybe four or five skill animations in common use and they're all mediocre. seekers... whoa.

Of the classes you picked, go with the archer or cleric, but I'd also not rule out mystic either.

guys i dont want a veno although i kinda like their flying mount, but as i searched in forums, they said that venos getting weaker at higher lvls.

as for mystic, thats also at my list of choice before, but i noticed that they have a few offensive skills.. would they be great in TW? and also what is their role at such instaces? FCC? TT? and will they be great at higher level?

anyway i appreaciated your replies b:kiss

I don't know how a Mystic would do in FCC and TT, as I have only done TT and on a Seeker instead of a Mystic. However I have played a Mystic a little bit, and while their Offensive skills are limited, they have access to a variety of pets that are a lot less limited in scope than those of the Venomancer. Additionally their resurrection skill is alot more versatile than that of the Cleric, and while their outright healing skills is a bit weaker than that of the Cleric, they are one of the few classes that have the ability to heal other players making them useful to say the least.

As far as a Mystic in PK events, I would say they are just as effective, if not more effective than a Venomancer due to their ability to heal, be offensive, and resurrect buff their party. All told it makes them quite versatile in a lot of roles that otherwise wouldn't be available. Additionally in 1 on 1 PK events, they are a great deal harder to kill than even Clerics happen to be due to the fact that they can set out their healing pet, sit back and let Devil Chyuu tank the opponent while they fire volley after volley of offensive spell at the opponent. This type of class is actually one of the more potent ones for PK events and one of the ones that most people fear in my experience across a variety of MMORPG games during PK events as Pet based Players tend to be quite a bit harder to deal with in PK than ordinary players. Especially those Pet based players who can heal themselves.
