Hello PWI!b:victory

Yes, it's this thread again lol. My old Toshiba Satellite laptop died of natural causes after 3 years of service a week ago and I'm looking for a nice replacement. Of course, this new laptop has to run PWI. Now, I've done my research on many threads on the forums but I would like to get an opinion from you guys.

The one I'm considering is the Toshiba Satellite P750-ST4N02:

-Intel Core i5-2410M processor
-Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
-Mobile Intel HD Graphics
-64MB-1696MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory
-6GB DDR3 1333MHz memory
-640GB HDD (5400rpm)

Here's the actual link!

I've been using a friend's similar model, but it's i7 instead of i5 and has "Intel HD Graphics Family" instead of "Mobile Intel HD Graphics"and it runs PWI perfectly. Is there a drastic difference?

Any comments or suggestions? Any laptops that you recomend?

Thank you very much!b:thanks

Pretty much any computer made in the past 8 years will run the client just fine. Remember to set the .exe files for PW to run with administrator rights for Win 7, Especially on 64-bit.

Below are my personal opinions, not representative of PWE.

I personally despise Intel for video graphics, at all.

I should run it fine, but if you can get one with a dedicated nvidia (not dual GPU nvidia/intel, all nvidia) or AMD/ATI video chipset, you will be happier and have less problems down the road.

Intel puts video chipset functionality into their news CPUs, which I am not a fan of. b:victory
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

And darthpanda, yes hehe, I've read that you don't really enjoy Intel video graphics. Though, I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say a "dedicated" card. I'm not exactly the worlds greatest computer expert :P.

I was also considering the Toshiba Satellite P750-ST4NX1. What do you think?

    -Intel Core i5-2410M processor
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M with NVIDIA Optimus Technology
    -Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
    -1GB GDDR3 discrete graphics memory

Here's the link with the full details!

Thanks again for all the help! b:victory
