Pvp....?

Ok so i know arch is a pve sever but seriously O.O what the hell is wrong with peoples mind sets when it comes to pvp on this game.

I came here from a game called rising force online and its all pvp all the time, no white name or safety lock etc etc. And i had several friends on other races (you only pvp other races) and if we ran into eachother, we would try to murder the other, intensely and laugh about it later

So i went white name for the fist time since my low 90's and the first thing i get is a pm saying "if you buff me i wont attack you" ....really? Why the hell would i go white name if i wanted to buff people and not pvp, so i weild thundered his ***, he stealthed, and pvp goodness soon ensued. Aside from the fact that i got many similar messages (if you wont hit me, i wont hit you, rez me and i wont kill you) and its just like...why is everyone bartering to try to make LESS pk, thats what blue name is for.

Or on the other side of the spectrum if you kill some people they take like, a personal offence to it and swear over and over at you in pms, about how your a low life peice of blah blah blah..why the hell are you standing in front of west arch in white name if you dont want to pk....

Because this game isn't really designed for pvp much more to pve... b:shutup
And there more casual than hardcore in this game, just need $ and you basically become a hardcore player.

Agreed, too many white names QQ at west when getting killed. I just don't understand why people go pk mode and just stand at west gate staring at each other..i just LOL. The way I see it, if you not in faction or in my squad dont get close or I will attack..LOL. Who cares if people rage about that, thats what pvp is and not just stand there staring at an opposing faction. Dying and killing is what makes it fun for those that do go pk.

going white name on a pwe server and QQ about pvp is something i can't understand ether, it happened with some1 in my current guild, while i was farming out of being bored ... i've run into this guildie white name that started to QQ about what a hard in game life he has couse he can't farm for money couse he gets pk all the time ... and when i asked him why is he not turning blue (he was only 60+ or something) he sayed ... being blue is noobish b:shutup ... what answer can i give to some1 who thinks like that? ... what is strange is that he is not the only1 ...

By way of answer, everyone wants to sit out there like they pk, but not pk.

They want to wait for someone to say to them "hey, wanna 1 vs 1" then only say yes if its someone they can beat. IMHO, thats what duelings for.

But yes, they go white, then don't pk, then qq if someone kills them, then if they kill someone else they shoot their mouth off like that wasn't what you went white for in the first place - to kill and be killed.

I'm convinced brain damaged people click pk mode on our server. Really, I am.

Well, I'm not of those of who rages when gets killed, and I get killed everytime, since I dont PK despite I'm white named, I just stand there talking with people, loling at the people that cant kill me, etc. But yeah, I've seen a lot of QQers, and It's really annoying coming from a game.

So you would think with the introduction of a new dungeon that is all pvp (secret passage) with no negative repercussions (no safety lock, no drops) people would FINALLY start pvping but alas, its just west arch moved inside of a dungeon. I was on my boyfriends sin and going after people with similar gear to him, theres no point in pking lvl 60's, and there were 4-5 rank8/9 people in the main room, just standing there honest to god white chatting about how bored they were. If your bored ****ing hit each other or get out of the pvp area-.-. Whats more annoying is if i tried to pk someone else i would get zerged by all the r8/9 people standing arund. Yes, weild thunder, crystal light, r8 arrows and stone rain all hitting a lvl 96 sin at once can indeed kill it, now that we've figured it out, try using it on each other and you know...pk?

I don't mind getting killed, its part of pvp, but once they kill me you would think that would motivate them to try attacking each other but..no

Dont worry, about those noobs i never seen so many bad sins like i see in arch... I mean really after making a 101 sin on LC and see for myself how easy is it to kill well..... any class....
Man the though that I in the past resisted to so many ganks by arch sins and killed them after, was not cause i, back on the day, had OP gear it, was because they really suck.....

Im not trying to insult any arch pvper i theres lots on LC too but really some ppl here are really horrible players like i never seen before on PWI..

Anyway go marry blood he is a much better wizzy then me::

PK @ West Gate.. Yes it can be fun and it cannot be fun for others and I agree to the people above this trade, if you do not want to get killed at west when ur in a PK mode then don't go outside... and if you're gonna go out expect that your gonna die atleast and don't QQ About it. To those who also PK and fight with people, I know some of u that just whisper other people on how lame they are w/e class they may be... All I can say is that Does it really matter how suck can they be if they wanna PK?.. and if they don't care if they die or won the fight?.. Let the PK fight to be fun and don't QQ nor whisper your opponent just coz they are bad or however they run their own class. b:pleased that's all b:thanks

It's because PvP on a PvE server is way different than on a PvP server. It's so much more laid-back. You have the choice to PK or not.

On a PvP server you are white-named from lvl 30 on with no going back. You learn to adapt to that pretty quickly and not QQ so much cos it really doesn't do any good.

TrueHarmony, It sounds like you made the wrong choice in servers. Sorry. b:sad

Not really, on a PvP server everyone has the same option to go stand at west, at silver pool. or any of the top notch faction's afk spots...

Its absolutelly no dif on a pve server than on a pvp server. People on arch spend days, months and now Years in white name, and never goes out to the PvP area..

ex BM on LC -so i know-

The mentality is different. I just spent 6 months on Arch server after over 2 years on HL. There are many notable differences:

Choice: There isn't any on PvP servers. You hit 30, you are white-named with no choice of going blue again. You don't see nearly as many ppl standing for hours outside west gate. It's a way more aggressive atmosphere.

PK drops: On Arch it's expected that you give back drops, on HL it's expected that you keep PK drops and either sell them in WC immediately while flaming the victim or put them up for sale in a shop labeled: Your Drops lol.

White-name hunting: Doesn't happen on PvP servers because everyone over 30 is white- named. Just step out of SZ.

I could go on, but yeah. Point made.

Ok Sorry I failed to mention the slight diference -The ability to farm low levels- Is about the only benefit you have on a PvP server. And pre fish sticks days, people actually use to blast people that did that ****.

Other than that, at high levels, and endgame on PvP servers, just like on PvE servers, you always see the same names, same groups of active PKers.. that constantly stay active in PK - Otherwise, majority of people stay tucked in instances, In sz- Afk spots, etc etc... It may be the same names but there are more of the "same names" out in PvP servers. The only thing to bring back PvP is slowing down the leveling process. Revert FC back to the difficulty it was and remove these god-forsaken Hypers.

People grinding in the many used to be famous spots, doing wq's, and doing quests in general. These forced us to leave safe-zone even if you did not like PvP. But now, since all leveling is instance based and really no reason to leave safe zone. Can't expect much fighting to happen.

Now when we speak about PvE servers, whatever reason you have to leave the safe zone....you still don't have to fight. But yea we can complain about this all we want but this game has changed so much so the past is gone...forever b:cry

People standing around in pk areas NOT pking is one of the funniest things ever. Its why I started randomly nuke dropping - trying to make something, anything happen. But no, it never does.

1.Go into SP.
2. Look at people and spy gears.
3. Sort people into 3 categories.
3a I can kill this dude easily.
3b Oh, I could kill them, would be REALLY tough, but I could.
3c Leave them alone. They can oneshot me.
4. I only attack 3a/3b all day long.
5. Stealth.
6. Double spark>Antistun>Pot IG>Autoattack>Restealth before IG wears off or person is dead.
7. Repeat 5,6,2 and 3 until I have to leave SP.

What sense of accomplishment can you get from killing people you know you can kill?

Now, killing people you don't think you can kill? Killing people solo while 6-20 people are targeting you? That's a challenge. That's fun. I could walk around and challenge 95% (in truth, probably 99%) of our server to 1 vs 1s - but where's the fun in that?

People that play sins have a f'd up view of fun, ijs. If i didn't find sins so boring, and actually learned how to play them, I would go after bms, barbs and mostly other sins. Sins that take down those targets, imo, are far more pro than the lame, boring sins we seem to have on our server.

I'd rather let my r9 mats rot in bank than roll such a boreing class as a sin. Most people (not all because I know a few that does just enjoy the class itself) that i've seen roll a sin, would be the type that would download an Aimbot in a FPS, or instantly hit the gamecheat sites before they even get the game out of the package.

See Blood, thing is... With BM's, barbs, sins, etc etc... at this point in the game, with any sin really.. The only real challenge to anyone who doesnt completely SUCK is either a R9, uber aps, or uber HP. Not gonna lie, ur tough to take down :P Ur pk style is annoying as hell, but 'ey, it works. But seeing as you say killing a barb/BM/sin makes you more pro then the next guy.. depends on the person behind who you're killing. Ya know who's a challenge for me? Um.. well you.. Rion used to be a tough little ****... Gral has his moments, though I normally win... Teddy is annoying to kill... Gaaraa... but yeah.. remember all their gear & you'll see my point. But hey, its just one sin's opinion, what do I know?

I find InvenFrancis much harder to take down than BLOODMYSTIC and if I remember correctly he isn't even R9.

Meh. I've noticed that unless a mage has JoSD's or full +10 they're all relatively easy to kill. Or both... like jason.. wtf with 3 minute 1v1. lol

Try pking him as a cleric, ijs. Sleep=useless.

And there are plenty of wizards just as good if not better than me in terms of skill. None of them ever seem to be in nemesis, but they are on the server, for certain.

And you say that like we have ever 1 vs 1, lol. If I ever see you pk at west gate without an army of nemesis (usually more skilled than you) surrounding you, I don't know what I woudl do.

Oh, and you assume that I EVER built my wizard to survive, lol. I built my wizard to kill as many people as possible, REGARDLESS of whether I die, lol. And so far as any objective determination can be made in THAT regard, ijs, I'm at least as good as anyone.

And geo, for someone that rolled an archer because you and lieaz couldn't 2 vs 1 me in my 88 mold chest and tt90 gear, and didn't even really pvp on your archer without godly aoe debuffing rank 9 bow?

Of course, I am not full +10 except for 2 pieces +8, and I've added 8 garnet gems to my gear - so wait till ya get a load of me in next TW hated: all I gotta do is outlast your IG and soochi'll getcha!

Wholepint dropped 20 GSTs to me in pk before, easily worth a minimum of 100m. I gave them back instantly.

There are enough people that don't pk on our server for fear of dropping items. If you want to pk, you need people to pk with. If you want people to pk with, and people won't pk for fear of dropping, giving back drops is a nice way to promote your own fun in the game.

That said, you don't have to if you don't want to. I go through MILLIONS and MILLIONS worth of GAs while pking, so I have little sympathy if someone doesn't get drops returned. Pay the pk gods now, or pay the pk gods later.

Well... you have pots and decent timing. And I dont really pop IG's unless I'm close to dying or I'm aoe raging groups. Soochi: lol... you'll never see him 1v1 me.
