Quickest Bow APS??

I have seen many archers going 5aps with fists... but I want to know how fast can you go when using an actual bow/crossbow/sling.

Is it even possible to have a 5aps archer using a bow instead of fists?

    No, you cannot get 5 a/s with a bow.

    You can get 1.25 a/s or something like that, before demon spark.

    So you can not get any quicker than 1.25 for ranged weapons for archers???

    I mean i would think you can get quicker on this weapon if you are able to get quicker on daggers, fists, etc...

    So the intervals are only when attacking using fists n daggers?

    If that is so why is there bows that have negative intervals?

    the issue is that you have to start with a somewhat high aps in order to get up to 5 aps

    when you are over 1aps, each -.05 give you a benefit of over .05,

    however, the same works in reverse
    when your bow starts at only .67 ( i think, for a regular bow ), even if you get other aps gear, the gain is pretty negligible, and will benefit you much less then if you had the dagger starting point of 1.25 aps, or 1.43 for fists/claws

    im sure there are charts on the forum that will show you the math and more details, but the ultimate issue that your starting aps is too low, and even with aps pieces, the benefits will never be great

    it actually starts at .71, which while being 2 steps ahead of thw bow, it still is hard

    If you want maximum aps with ranged weapon, you'd either use Wind and Clouds, or you'd get a second cast Nirvana sling and recast it until you either went broke, or you got -0.05 int on it twice.

    Even then, you're not gonna get past 1.67 aps demon sparked... Or thereabouts. you MIGHt be able to get it to 1.82 for 8 seconds using a genie with absolute pure str and Relentless Courage. I can get my daggers to 2.22 on my Sin using RC, but RB only gets them to 2.0 (I'd assume the same for demon spark, but I don't have it, so... who knows).

    The highest I saw an actual bow do on PWCalc was 1.35 aps demon sparked. Not sure if it can go higher... It probably can.

    So I calculated the fastest a crossbow can be is 1.05 aps... b:cry

    Oh well i am sure it is probably as equal to a dagger of 5 aps or close due to its high damage compared to the dagger of the same lvl (refine, shard, etc.).

    Not really.

    Daggers can have GoF or other Zerks.

    Daggers after about 2.22 are stupid easy to perma-spark on.

    2.86 daggers with GoF (R9) are basically gonna be impossible for a crossbow at 1.05 to out DPS.

    If you could be perma-sparked at 1.43 APS with an R9 bow, you might be able to keep up. But, I don't think that's gonna happen.

    It's not.

    Daggers get the benefit of 500% additional base damage from being able to permaspark. And that is pretty much why 4-5 aps is so strong: The weakness of having lower base damage is completely thrown out of the window because of Demon/Sage Spark.

    For example:
    4 aps R9 sin: 151,786 dps
    1.00 aps R9 Archer: 30,147 dps

    And since the daggers have GoF, the reality will be even crueler.
