TW Report August 19-21 (The truncated version by Ivy_)

For the record, I don't know where Thriv is. I was expecting her to do the report this weekend, hence why I didn't hijack it as soon as I notice it wasn't up on Friday morning. Granted, I've been busy with my daughter for the past 3 weeks that I've hardly been lurking on the forums (Esco still did though >.>). It wasn't until Ashivas pointed out that there hasn't been a TW report this week that I truly noticed a lack of TW report for the week.

With that being said, since the TW's are over for this week, and since I don't remember most of who attacked who, who won, who did **** slinging afterwards, etc, I can only give you the post TW wrap-up this week. If Thriv doesn't post next week, I'll have the full one up by Friday morning, assuming that I'm not swamped with motherly duties.

Post TW Wrap-Up

The **** was being thrown as early as Thursday after the map was drawn with arrows. Folks, it's TW; it's the only thing that some of us have in this game anymore. Stop the ****ing hatred and kill **** already!

With that being said, we've seen the return of Exclusive to not just the battlefield but just in general--welcome back guys. We've also seen o_o get some action after 2 months of being undefeated (I'm still getting the arrows out of my *** from when Vanquish went against them). And...a new color on the map? Oh come on, more bathroom-related colors? Mehhhhhhh...

:3 had multiple defenses this weekend, along with their ongoing battle with Spades. While they weren't able to grab a piece of blue land this week, they managed to succeed with the defenses. Keep at it guys! Show them that you're not dead yet!

BootyCamp also had their share of success this weekend as well; Tempest's last piece of land has turned a bright...what I'd dub Escorian green. Now the question is will Tempest go back for them, or attempt to relocate elsewhere? We'll find out next week!

The biggest upset of the weekend was an EQ victory against IT. If I had coffee, I probably would have choked on it, because I'm sure many others did not expect that outcome at all. Great job EQ.

I'd go into the Vanquish/FAMINE fight, but since I'm in Vanquish and I'm going to have some bias, I will say this much: Ivy wants a rematch! Will we have it? Only time will tell. Good fight regardless. b:victory

Congrats to all the winners, better luck to those who lost, and for all of those in TW week after week, killing platinum charms everywhere, kick *** and take names. I'm sorry about the quality of this report. b:surrender Hopefully Thriv pops up again in a bit.

    I had sort of the same reaction when I logged on today (or was it yesterday? Can't even remember) and saw the shoutbox on our website talk about our win b:laugh

    It kinda sad to see that smaller factions are fighting with each other instead of trying to stop Regen. 3 way attack (EQ/IT/Dyna) or even 6 way (+Spades/Tempest/:3) should make regenis life bit harder.

    This isn't really surprising. It's exactly what happened before when the Red Menace threatened the map for the first time. Honestly, I'm somewhat surprised the complaining is taking so long to coalesce.

    It's called picking your fights. While all those factions can give Regen a run for their money (no cash shop joke here, I swear guys!), I can't help but to think about when Cala was around...3-ways all round and outside of a few defeats (the December 2009 time was rough for them), many were successful. And before you say Regen =/= Cala...that's true in many aspects, but a lot of Cala's core is still there.

    Furthermore, 6 ways won't work because of how the TW scheduling is. At most 3 attacks per slot if I remember correctly. So they'd still be on different time slots, if not different days. In order to catch Regen off guard is for other factions to jump in and bid on maybe 12-15 lands (read: all of them that they hold at the moment) and force the odder time slots (like 9am server time--where most of their US players will be sleeping or their European players are just barely wiping the cold out their eyes from their previous TW that ended at 5am).

    However, how many will do that knowing that they may lose more resources than what it's worth? 3-hour TW's for smaller factions are not fun for the funds.

    honestly it wouldn't be 3 hour wars for the smaller factions against Regen, simple strategy says to bash the easy targets force to get more people into the main battles, so the smaller factions tw's would be the shortest ones. and if i'm remember right from when Cala went bye bye, there has to be at least 21 battles before you start getting more then 3 battles to a time slot. i could be wrong but i believe it's still

    Anyways, I can't remember the exact number of territories that can cause morning TW's. When Cala disbanded, all but the cities were bid on, and I can't remember if the 3-attacks-per-time slot rule was slightly bent. But yeah, if Vanquish ever had a 9am TW...9am=6am in California. I know that unless my daughter is up at that time (rarely happens), I won't TW at that time either.

    But smaller factions know that if it comes to that point, there is the chance of the odd time slot. Whether they prepare for it or not is up to them--would suck for them to risk a banning for "fake bidding" since 90% of their players can't/won't TW at that time.

There was no drama within IT either, neither flaming or fights. just bunch of important people got inactive at the same time and another bunch of people got kicked (due inactivity).     Whenever i say something good about IT on world chat, i get pms how they steal drops or **** their own members. In fact (i dont troll them) i ask who said that and they usually say always same names. Those people seem to forget to mention tho that it was a PK drop, that an IT member took...thats considering as stealing? About rumors of hacking..wow..really? Wonder why this poor guy is still in the faction WITH them if its been done by several members. And they get still along, actually they been suprised where this came from..

    Most hate IT only cause its a trend to hate them anyway. Noone bothers to hear the truth cause they like the drama and fuss to talk about someone.

    Now some gonna run and flame me about "but he did kill me there and there and farmed me there and there...and pk me there and there and stole the boss there and there"
    In case you dont know they did same stuff in their old faction but it never ruined the reputation of the faction, how comes it does when it comes to IT...and how comes the most flamers are pk-dorks anyway? (Its usually same people and it always involves some kind of pk drama).

    IT grew fast and seems like some couldnt handle this fact. I been in IT and noone ever talked bad about other factions in chat. They all flamed one particular player from time to time but they dont run their mouths about other factions. And its still same when i log on my friends account to say hello (i bet someone gonna report me now).

    Its like in school...a new student comes to class. she is prettier than others girls, so they start to talk sh*t about her out of jealousy. Just so she ends up as a h** in whole school.
    (Not saying IT was smarter or stronger, more like they grew pretty fast which made some people jealous).

    No proves, nothing..only disgusting lies and trashtalking like a cheap tabloid newspaper. And thats not only about IT...its about several other factions as well. Sometimes i just wonder why some people over 20+ act like in a kindergarden.

    I'm not in IT and i'm most of times very diplomatic. I have alot of friends there, as i have in EQ, Regen and Dyna (love Dyna tho). My best friend is in IT thats why i know a bit more about it.
    Just sad how people like to point a finger at others even tho they dont know or care a shi* about the truth .
    If i m trolling and spamming on forum...then i cant sleep and need a good laugh

    No real plausible reason for a lot of factions to attack Regen. At the moment Regen and EQ are in their own little pact to take down IT (successfully it's seeming to be), and whatnot. With EQ attacking us (Dyna), we can not really attack Regen (plus all the attacks would probably fail b:surrender). Spades has a decent amount of Regen alts in it, so fighting Regen would not work to well for them. And :3 is having trouble atm trying to keep Spades from taking the last bit of their land...

    So for now, while the map is still colorful, attacking Regen really benefits no one for the time.
