Not bragging, just info for Roid and Wolfy since they are the de-facto merchants on the forum. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other hidden merchants who has more than me. b:thanks

If I wanted to brag, I would've posted on my main and posted screenshots. Feel free to ignore my posts as nameless alt which I am, I don't really care. b:bye

    +1

    I agree with that.

    it's why I hate "some" cs'ers.

They will stomp on the head of anyone who can't cash shop as much as them, or merchant as good, making us feel inferior and unwanted.

Not everyone in this game lives in a big town where there's mass work to be found (25% unemployement rate here), nor has the initial funds to even start sensible merchanding..

Because the biggest flaw about being a rich f2p merchant is you can almost never spend any of it.

Which ironically kinda means... you're poor b:laugh

It's true that most rich merchants keep their "secrets", and I know there are plenty of other merchants on my server who are much richer than me.

Probably my only two real merchanting claims-to-fame are:

    1) I like to share what I know (because really, why would I care if I earned "absurdly more coins than I need" instead of "insanely more coins than I need"?)

    2) I have a very low in-game "Effort vs. Wealth" ratio (because I only enjoy playing about 3-4 hours per week, and thus I refuse to do anything that feels even remotely like "effort" or "work" in the game)

Basically, I find the process of experimentation and discovery more entertaining than the actual payoff, so I'm ok with being maybe only the 10th richest merchant on my server.

It's true that most rich merchants keep their "secrets", and I know there are plenty of other merchants on my server who are much richer than me.

It's only natural. Sharing the "secret" does hurt the current merchants one way or the other, however you want to look at it.

The demand of the market is limited to a fixed degree. So it's natural that the more competition there are, the lower the profits. It's like a pie, more people want it means each person will get a smaller slice. Not only does individual reduce their market share as more competitions enter the market, they also have to compete for lower prices. Lower prices + lower volume = even lower profit.

The second aspect that hurts the merchants, might even more so than the added competition, is the shrink in demand from wide spread knowledge of profitability of merchanting. As more and more learn about merchants, less and less buy from catshops. I know I, as a merchant, almost never buy things from another catshop because I know it's cheaper to buy it directly. As that spreads to the population, the profits become more and more depending on the buying-bulk discount and off-sale markup rather than direct markup.

And how many hours a day did you have to spend farming? It's like you are comparing your salary to someone's profit in the stock market. Nothing stops that person from working for more money while having money growing in stock. But if he chooses, he can be on vacation while making money while you are at the office.

I love how people farms narnia everyday for months and then they brag about how big their e-peen apparently is and think they are better than anyone else.

Game is dead, and any effort or hard work at this point is just stupid.

I agree thought it was hard for me to move on at first bc I got used to its mechanics.

I find it interesting that actions, such as the ones demonstrated in this thread, impact the game much more (I’d argue negatively) than the goonz glitch that receives so much attention.

I’m not hating, nor am I trying to discredit Roid’s impressive work. It just seems to me that (in this case) having one person manipulate gold sales for his/her own personal gain affects the server population far greater than adding another lvl 105 to the charts.

PWI, you are a phenomenal community…

It doesn't really impact the game that much. Gold refills fast, so it's just an hour or two at most. There have also been times where someone sells gold and clears out the buy section.

then someone bids 100k, someone else bids 1 mill, and by the third one, we are back to normal 0.o

After I saw that AH golds were all gone, I put in 1 gold at 3,999,900 but no one bought it.. ;(

And no, I didn't buy out AH. That 2k gold was slowly accumulated in the span of two weeks as I sell off some merchandise.

Heh, I know you didn't because it really just takes about 300 gold to buy the top out.
