Why Punish PVP?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I never understood the reasoning behind red-name-drops. Why is it that people are punished for PK on a PVP server? If other players do not want to be killed then.... don't play on a pvp server.

Perhaps this is just me, but I find it unfair to punish people who like to PK and PVP by giving very likely chances to drop their items and gear. :/

    it's not really a punishment. when you kill mobs they droping items. here's the same. and another reason - you need guardian scrool, from boutique if you want pk without risk, so thats how pwi making moneys.

    making ppl not drop would ruin pvp more
    first they introduced SL half off lost City's pvp instant died cuz low to no reward
    second they introduced sins making even less pvp now it dropped to 25% (this is 1 year time or even less)
    third they bring out rank9 now its hugging sz and hoping you 1 shot a squishy be4 getting killed by a stealthed sin or you live by going back to sz
    aka Sl ruined game already no reward is bye pvp for most ppl
    100% F2P legit 105 since starting this game. Full rank9 jaded +12 seeker. .tinyurl.com/nocashshopHaters gona hate cuz they cant play a game

    victor meaning blue names that have nothing better to do but to wait 24/7 in an online game for someone to die and hopefully drop something good that they can pick up before the other 10 blue names.

    Even without no penalty or pvp, most new server have low population.
    Server + pvp + no penalty = ???

    On other games, got camped all day outside the beginner town. b:pleased
    After the population decrease a lot = the community start makes "respect" rules
    Those who likes to rpk with no reason or annoying will be hunted and rejected by the community.
    But of course there only few people on the server... b:shutup

    noob gp in the open map instead of camping west gate silver pool and all those lv30-
    place but oO no u dont then dont complain some do have alt and there are still few ppl who try to pve to one day reach 100 the normal way.

    if u complain about blue name ruining ur sucked up pvp get a life and move on to more higher lv areas not anybodys foult u play a sin just to get drop and qq no one drop cos of
    sl.

    no wonder so many noobs once opon a time pvp used to exist in the whole map u moron not just west gate or silver pool.

    What does SL stand for?

    I really don't understand what the point is of the first post or several of the replies.

    I am leaning towards guessing that the original poster is not happy that PVP includes the victor getting to loot the corpse of any non bound items. If so, someone pointed out you can get a scroll to prevent that.

    Getting looted in PVP is pretty much par for the course in most MMOs. Get over it or get a scroll.

    I dont PVP here because it appears to be totally stat based with virtually no weight given to skill or strategy. Credit Card bill comparison is not my idea of fun or something I want to spend time with.

    Kinda sucks for any lowbie above 30 getting camped in silverpool... That's thy rpk and Ted name gives you bad drops if your dumb enough to not use sl

    no and no drop is stupid especially becouse its based on gear not skill.
    sl is good cos u can kill ppl but u dont need to worry about dropping stuff u have goten.
    pvp is mostly gank and op gear u dont see ppl with +2 red u see them with +7 or higher
    now that is money so why would u wana drop them.

    if this was regular npc gera i wouldent care they are cheap to get but refined gear u have sl or doll and pvp is gank or really high refine suprise attack.

    we dont wana have ppl leave do we.

    and who ever think pp should drop gear get real i bet u gank with friend and then qq cos nobady drop there gear and when they do as ur at west gate blue name take them from u.
